    C'mon Biddle, remember last week?

Let's see 'em make excuses for the Unit. Edit: Braves guys are talking good about Sheets tonight anyway. They're comparing Ben's outing to Johnson's in terms of balls/strikes. Double Edit: Actually, he's perfect thru 6, now 7, now 8.

Sorry to break away from the Crew for a second, but since they're not on TV is anyone watching the DBacks/Braves on TBS? Randy Johnson (JINX alert) has a no-no thru 6. Back to our regularly scheduled Brewer in game thread.

I had the pleasure of attending today and despite the 30 minute delay in Lake Mills on the way home, I am still jacked. What a great performance by Sheets. To be an ace, he must do what he did today--dominate and end a losing streak. KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!

No game thread started til after 6 PM? Is everybody taking a vacation day? Thanks to all for the lineups. The efforts are appreciated.

Buy plenty of snacks, folks. With Trachsel "The Human Rain Delay" pitching, this one could take a while.

Ken, there's the bench. Take a seat. Nice pitch Brooks. You too Mr. Freel. Wow.
  8. burniebrewer
Looks like we may need some 9th inning heroics to win this one. Another game Sheets pitched well enough to win, but won't.

Get Kinney out now and let's hope we can build on this outing. A little trouble late, but as mentioned in Brian's post, this is his second time through the order. I think both of our pitchers tonight have "earned" another shot in their current roles.

Who's that guy wearing #50 tonight? So far, so good. I know, very small sample, but compared to his starts, this is nice.

Boy, those boos for Haynes sure are beautifulhttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif . I remember when that was us booing getting ready to go home in the 3rd inning. EDIT--Am I the only one who sees a slight resemblence between Haynes and Kinney?? Yikes.

This is such a relief. I guess the old pessimist in me expected the worst tonight. What an at bat by Overbay...this guy can play.
  13. burniebrewer
So help me, if we don't rip Haynes, I'll....

Kearns is going to be re-evaluated today but I can't anticipate him not going on the DL. I read he was fitted with a cast already so there's no way they don't DL him.
  15. burniebrewer
Your starting RF tonight, Keith Ginter.
  16. burniebrewer
Good to see Ginter hitting another HR...should get him about 2 more weeks on the bench. We can't afford to start our best pinch hitter.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  17. burniebrewer
What does Ginter have to do to start? Geez. Nice knock, Keith.
  18. burniebrewer
Wow. I'm not sure which is more surprising: Matheny letting a ball past him for a wild pitch or both teams scoring via the wild pitch in the same inning.
  19. burniebrewer
    Of course, no Ginter.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif

Thanks Brian. I forgot about that link. Moving on, none of the Durrington supporters have chimed in on his 1/3 of an inning pitched tonight. (At least it showed he pitched on Yahoo GameChannel.) Maybe we can get him one of those position-an-inning games.
  21. burniebrewer
Sorry I've forgotten and I'm sure we've discussed this many times before, but does Kinney have any minor league options left?
  22. burniebrewer
This is getting further off topic but did you see where Weathers went to college? Motlow (Tenn). You don't suppose that school is named after Lem Motlow, the proprietor(?) of Jack Daniels Tenn. Whiskey, do you? I wonder what they could've studied there...distilling?

Nice AJAY. You got a good chuckle out of me.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif

By the way - anyone have any idea why sportsline.com gamecast put up that Biggio lead off with a HR? RyDogg- The ball was hit to the left center gap and Jenks made the catch on the track. Not like he went up and brought it back in.

Yost just answered the Sheets question--Durrington is pinch hitting. Great outing by Sheets. Let's hope the pen finishes it.
