    predictions: bush will give up 3 runs in 6 innings the brewers will score 3 runs off wainwright in 7 1/3 innings the game will go into extra innings the brewers will win!

    here's what i hope will happen during today's meeting. 1. The brewers officially decide today that they have been teasing cardinals/cubs fans for long enough, and now is the time they are all going to start trying and playing to their potential. it seemed too boring to them to be in 1st place the WHOLE year... 2. they reveal that: they were kidding about Yo's ACL tear and they just wanted to freak us all out. Yo doesn't need surgery and will be fine for his next start 3. they reveal that: the brewers hitters made a bet with themselves on who could start off the slowest this year. the contest is now over and they will start trying to hit now 4. they reveal that: the brewers pitchers (besides sheets) are no longer going to attempt to throw the most pitches in the first 5 innings. that game is getting old because they all got so good at it. they will now start trying to get into the 8th on a regular basis

    myself and 3 others will be in the right center bleachers on friday night. watching the saturday game in a sports pub. then off to NY for the sunday night game.

    They said both airfares and hotel would be covered, so i am assuming i will have to pay the taxes and fees it will still be worthwhile... i think i am going to go tomorrow and just be strong. there's no way i will get roped into buying anything, (mainly because i dont have any money) but i may snap and walk out of there if they grill me for too long...

    Last month, i was drunk at a brewers game and signed myself and my girlfriend up at Miller Park to win something. I honestly dont remember what it was for, but we both got phone calls last night saying that we won a trip to either Las Vegas or Orlando. I have heard stories about epople winning stuff in drawings and it's basically completely misleading or a huge rip-off. I expressed my concern to the lady on the phone because i can't believe we both won free trips in the same drawing. They had me make an appt. to go to Sundance Travel in Brookfield to claim my vacation (airfare + hotel) tomorrow after work. They specifically told me i had to pay NOTHING and that I wouldn't have to bring a penny - no checks, credits cards - nothing. I researched Sundance travel and saw an article posted that this place is a rip-off and they lure people in there to make high-pressure sales pitches for resorts that cost $10000 or more. The person who wrote the article mentioned that the 3-night stay was only in select hotels, with tons of blackout dates, and no hollidays. This doesn't come as a surprise to me, and I'm sure I could find some time around those dates to get away for 3 days (if it's worth going to this travel agency) Should I even go to this place to "claim" my prize???

    I was in the back room by the dancefloor at a table and i noticed there were several other people who were watching the brewer game against the astros and seemed pretty into the game. They seemed like hardcore fans, and some of you have mentioned that you go to Kelly's sometimes, so putting 2 and 2 together I'm wondering if any of those people are BF.netters? another weird note about that night. the brewers were kicking butt, and then they decided to turn the sound up on the TVs. the brewers immediately responded by giving up 6 runs over a 2-inning span... grr

    i CANNOT use a blade to shave my face/neck. i have bought different kinds of blades - none of them work (although i havent tried the hair conditioner thing). no matter what amount of lather, how hot the water is, or how new the blade is, i cant shave without destroying my neck and pulling the hair off my face. i own 3 electric shavers. i need all 3 based on what kind of shave i need on that particular day. i love all 3 that i own. i use a "Remington® Precision® Titanium® Personal Groomer" to trim my facial hair until it is short enough to shave with a NORELCO electric razor (the kind with 3 circular shavers), which smooth shaves the rest of my face and neck without burning/cutting them. the remington i mentioned has a bunch of different trimming accessories as well. the best $20 i ever spent for a razor. i also have a panasonic razor that i only use the "sideburn trimmer" to get the back of my neck or to clean up a bit when i'm getting "scruffy".

    sorry if a post similar to this has already been made. and i also am not a huge stat guy like soem of you are, so dont jump all over me if i project something that you dont agree with. yovanni at the most would have made what, 28 more starts? of those 28 starts (and being optimistic) he might have gotten 14 wins, have about 6 losses, and maybe 8 NDs. and thats gotta be an optimistic projection based on his record last year plus the fact that 15 wins is probably the most we could have expected Yovanni to get after missing the first 3 weeks of the season. now replace gallardo with bush and give Bush 28 starts. based on his history, bush might win 10, lose 10, and have 8 NDs. and thats if dave bush DOESNT improve, which he very well could. thats 14 wins compared to 10. so at the most, i see this as about a 4 game injury, and thats IF gallardo is out for the rest of the year and IF bush doesn't improve. that perspective makes me feel about 10% better about this season. i am now up to 20%

    posting on in game threads is too hard when i'm at work and following on gameday. i am 1-2 batters behind every time. i give up.

    Yeah no way we can come back from a one run deficit in the top of the 4th. Are we still smarting from last night? No way they can. Just look at how we will just fold after the HR. i bet we wont get 1 more runner on base... EDIT: whoops! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

    the cubs have an amazing record when their pitcher gets a hit. they also have an amazing record when they score first. combining these two facts, i would say this game is pretty much over

    i am already breaking my promise to myself not to do this. i am ashamed... Home St. Louis: 4 games: 2-2 L.A. Dodgers: 3 games: 1-2 Atlanta: 3 games: 2-1 Houston: 2 games: 2-0 Away Chicago: 1 game: 0-1 Houston: 3 games: 2-1 Florida: 3 games: 2-1 Boston: 3 games: 1-2 Pittsburgh: 3 games: 1-2 Washington: 4 games: 3-1 16-13, and im being really optimistic. i can't believe only 1 other person who picked each series picked the brewers to lose to the pirates at PNC Park. What makes people think we can win that series, given our history??? It seems like every year, the Pirates suck, and every year, we are getting better, and every year, we lose.

    well the 1st of my 3 predictions came true. i hope my second prediction does NOT come true though i will be following on gameday, but am in meetings till 2. hopefully the brewers will not be down 5 or 6 or 12 or 14 runs by the time i can tune in...
