I know this is somewhat misleading, but I have 4 tickets (including parking) to Zoo A La Carte this coming up weekend (Thursday-Sunday). For those of you who are unfamiliar, A la Carte is a 4 day event at the zoo where about 40 local restaurants have catering and plenty of good local (and even a few mainstream) bands that perform throughout the days and nights. If you and the family or some buddies were planning on going, the tickets and parking will save over $50. If anyone wants these tickets, let me know by Tuesday night. If there are multiple inquiries, I will hold a little drawing. Overall, Zoo A la Carte is a great time, so let me know if you are interested!!! -A.J.

not to get your hopes up for the stand you were inquiring about, but here is a glass one... not a bad price either http://www.tvstandshowcase.com/glass-three-self-stand.htm also, there are several aluminum and silver stands with glass shelves if they interest you at all The stand I have for my 50" DLP is Black with glass shelves. It is quite open though (sides, back), so it's now this big, bulky black thing.

I was at the bar playing shuffleboard last night, and ESPN was on the big screen next to me. I was 1/2 paying attention, when my buddies and I caught a commercial that seemed to be all Brewer highlights. We think it was one of those Dane Cook Playoffs commercials, but none of us were sure. If so, a Brewer-featured playoffs commercial on national TV would be sweet. Did anyone see this or know anything about it? Maybe it's on youtube... Any help in figuring out what I saw would be appreciated (unambigufied thread title --1992casey)

According to espn.com last month, JJ looks at more strikes than anyone else in baseball. I have noticed that a lot of times when JJ gets ahead 1-0, he will take the 2nd pitch no matter what, which usually turns out to be a strike...

he held up, unfortunately. fsn had a good view on the replay and there is no doubt he checked his swing.

I also say no. I can only see 1 of 2 ways we take the division: 1. the brewers get hot in the next week and open up a 3+ game lead before the cubs series later this month. with our road record and the importance of that series, theres no way the cubs dont win 2 or all 3 of those games. we need to be leading after that series, which means we have to get hot right now 2. big z, ramirez, lee, lily, or hill ends up on the DL the cubs need a crushing loss one of these games. one of those 4 runs surrendered in the 9th games. or some team to just light up zambrano. maybe the cubs will come back to earth then...

so far, i'm a big fan. i am going to have fun exploring the rest of my day at work!

I've noticed that too a few times. Same with CBS HD during the NCAA tourney. Also, TNT HD looks funny on Widescreens... good thing I dont watch TNT very much...

1. Make sure all of the connections are good 2. Make sure you have good quality cables. You can do a lot better than the componant cables Time Warner gives... 3. If everything else seems fine, but the picture/sound stil sucks, call TW and demand they bring you a new box, and that yours is not functioning properly

Sorry, but no. the only thing it may ever be used for is for homeruns. the 3 hour game is too long to put in instant replay, plus baseball has a certain "human element" to it...

my 50" Samsung DLP has worked out great for me. I would never buy LCD, seeing as sport watching and occasional video games represent most of my TV use...

So has a decision been made about whether or not there will be an I.G.T. for tonight's game? What about the non-Brewer I.G.T.? yay, 50th post! lol

Some comments and answers to some of the questions: 1. jackelberry was right: only "true gryffindor" could pull the sword out of the hat. all this means is that neville is a true gryffindor. it doesn't matter where the sword is before it is pulled from the hat. when harry pulled the sword out fo the hat in the chamber of secrets, it never mentions where to sword was originally... 2. I thought that Snape was good all along, but was surpised at all of the explanations that were given as to why he did the things he did throughout the entire series. Every question I answered, and I loved the tie-in with Lily. I wondered why she KEPT going on about Harry's eyes being like his mothers. but now i know. When Snape wanted Harry to look at him before he died... that was so well written. one of the best parts of the book. 3. pogokat is right about the horcruxes 4. harry became an auror. so did ron. theres an article somewhere . i think msnbc.com. j.k. mentions several other things such as hermoine and luna's jobs. 5. j.k. will be releasing a character encyclopedia sometime in the future. it will have lengthy explanations of each characters past and future... so something to look forward to! i cant wait to find out these things: what happened to the joke shop? does george run it by himself. did hermione find her parents and undo the charm she put on them? what happened to umbridge, skeeter, and the malfoys? does harry ever see the dursleys again? is vernon and "tuney" now nice to harry? do big d and harry become friends??? overall, loved the book. and the series? did anyone cry??? haha
