Right, because they've won 91 games to this point, I can see why you would think they can't win 3 more games this season ... at home ... against 2 below .500 teams ... that we're 14-2 against this season.
  2. pretendastronaut
    Well, this game changed quickly.

Mine came in a regular truck. I like the tickets mostly. They're better than the 07 and 08 ones.

Bah. Well, good news, one game closer to clinching at home!
  10. pretendastronaut
I knew coming in here there would be snarky posts devaluing McGehee's homer, but Hairston hits his first homer as a Brewer and it completely shows why he should start over Yuni. Not saying I wouldn't like to see Yuni and Casey replaced, but c'mon people. And hey, let's do this boys! Marmol is very hittable this year.

It was inevitable, but coming into the season it seemed it might stand until next year. Game Write-up Video

Not to be a doomsdayer, but it was Arroyo who said this; "Through seven, it was probably the easiest start I've had all year. They were being really aggressive and I was getting lucky and getting outs." when he faced us during the dreadful August of 2007.
  17. pretendastronaut
Did Roenicke actually use that though? I see Haudicourt said it, but it's not attributed to Roenicke. If Roenicke did use that as a reason, I have a far more annoyingly simple one; Kotsay has 1 more hit off Arroyo than Hart, in 2 more ABs.

When they interviewed him after the game, the graphic was updated to say it was his 3rd walk-off home run. They could have meant 12th walk-off hit, but I agree, that sounds like a lot too.

Ya, quite honestly, my first thought was about hearing Aaron Rogers on ESPN Milwaukee this morning, talking about the whole Mark Sanchez flap and how he felt the national media really framed the whole thing and blew it up into something it wasn't.

What I don't understand about his approach is how nobody has gotten through his head that no pitcher is going to bother throwing him anything hittable the first couple of pitches, everyone knows he hacks away. At best he's hoping for a mistake pitch, and he's not watching for a mistake pitch.
  24. pretendastronaut
I'm guessing Rickie may not be slotted for the whole game yet. I'm positive RR said Hairston would get some looks at SS when Rickie got back fully.
