  1. I'd say this is likely to be the most exciting game of the entire playoffs, but it's so badly scarred by so much Yosting. Still, great job KC.
  2. American League Royals over A's in WC O's over Tigers in ALDS Angels over Royals in ALDS Angels over O's in ALCS National League Pirates over Giants in WC Dodgers over Cards in NLDS Nationals over Pirates in NLDS Nationals over Dodgers in NLCS World Series Angels over Nationals in 6
  3. "Peralta I think, thought he got enough of it" - Uecker I thought he got enough of it based on Ueck's reaction.
  4. At this point, 1 in a row in an incredible steak. We're hot baby!
  5. I was just thinking anyone who shows up for fan appreciation night this year needs to be handed a stack of cash.
  6. I'm about as anti-booing as it gets, but my goodness this is the most pitiful stretch of baseball I've ever witnessed and I grew up gladly rooting for 100 loss Braves teams.
  7. Ueck is killing me here, he's making every swing sound like something great happened.
  8. What I wouldn't give for something positive from Braun here.
  9. A buddy and I decided to be positive and purchased tickets to go tonight. Time to get back in the race boys, I can't afford to drown my sorrows at ballpark prices! :D
  10. Through 2015. Baseball reference says: 2014 Contract Status: Signed, 4 yrs/$36M (12-15) (details) [*] Service Time (01/2014): 2.000, Arb Eligible: 2016, Free Agent: 2018 [*], Agents: Wasserman Media Group [*] Should have looked it up. Pretty much every national guy on Twitter was saying he's a free agent after 2015; I think Jim Bowden is the only one who said otherwise.
  11. I thought they were pretty free swinging still last night, so I had to look this up. 6 of their hits last night came on 3 pitches or less. Lucroy - HR - 9p - 2-2 Segura - 3B - 6p - 3-2 Gomez - 1B - 3p - 2-0 Lucroy - 1B - 5p - 0-2 Weeks - 2B - 2p - 1-0 Davis - 2B - 3p - 1-1 Davis - HR - 1p - 0-0 Gomez - 1B - 1p - 0-0 Braun - HR - 2p - 1-0 Reynolds - 2B - 6p - 3-2
  12. Great article on what a travesty Ryan Howard's contract has been: http://www.foxsports.com/mlb/just-a-bit-outside/story/ryan-howard-philadelphia-phillies-contract-regress-struggle-trade-rumors-release-072514
  13. That they didn't take responsibility for cleaning up the blood of their employee is insane to me. So yes, expecting you to deal with that, and give you $20 seems really poor to me.

  16. Buster Olney has an Insider article about Braun's changed season. A little to much "it's because he's not on steroids" implication for my tastes, but some crazy numbers all the same. http://insider.espn.go.com/blog/buster-olney/post?id=7251 What's interesting to me is you hear about pitchers who weren't effective with their former power pitch anymore, and they were good enough to re-invent themselves and stay at a high performing level. To me that's what we're seeing from Braun, he can't be the player he has been with his thumb and oblique issues this season, but he's a smart and solid enough baseball player to adjust himself and do what he needs to do, to be a good productive player.

  18. It's still his birthday. Maybe Wooten and Randy Wolf can have a chat.
  19. The hilarious part about that episode is that Lewis is upset about Rasmus playing the game the right way, but they were playing the shift against him. So it's okay for them to stack the deck against Rasmus, but if Rasmus exploits the hole that creates, he's not playing the game right.
