They have that stat on WGN or something? Because I don't even know where an average fan could look that up. I'm going to guess he got it at NorthSide Baseball forum. They have a poster over there in their IGTs (Fred Hornkohl) who is insane with the random statistics.

Any IGT is going to have it's share of complaining, but it has seemed to be up this year. I'm chalking it up to expectations I guess. But I will say, we just spent 3 pages arguing about the quality of our backup catcher options, so maybe it would be good to not focus on all the negative stuff all the time. Also, let's watch the taunting of other posters please.

You're right, it's not huge news, but the team is better than it was yesterday now, so it's okay if people think that's good news and still be disappointed with Yuni, Casey and Gomez at the same time.

As bad as the Cubs have been against the Central this year (8-21), I think we really need to take this game as the Cubs are getting pieces back as this series goes on. Jeff Baker is due back today, Reed Johnson is due back tomorrow, and Soriano is due back Wednesday. Sounds like Kerry Wood is heading to the DL though, and Byrd is out for the rest of the month.

I went back and watched it last night, and I don't think Gomez tried to make the catch look more than it was, but I do think he thought he was a step closer to the wall than he was. Edit: And I don't believe for a second Kotsay gets that ball.

What else I loved about being there, I bet 90% of the crowd stayed on their feet cheering through the whole 9th, and until the Brewers were fully back in the dugout. Really great crowd today.
