I'm surprised he's not getting more press for putting Brendan Ryan down right before that. A more full quote; The St. Louis Today Cardinals forum is really one of the crazier fan forums I've seen, and most of them are ready for TLR's head now, which is funny because a few weeks ago I was still seeing praise there about having the best manager in the game.

A small tidbit in TH's posting about the trade market;

From Witrado: Felipe Lopez's tweaked right hamstring isn't a major issue we're being told here, but he is being kept out of the lineup for precautionary reasons. Lopez said he is fine and that there is just a little bit of soreness. It started bothering him after he was on third and broke home on a ground ball last night in the fifth inning. He was thrown out at the plate. BREWERS RF Corey Hart CF Mike Cameron LF Ryan Braun 1B Prince Fielder 2B Casey McGehee 3B Bill Hall SS JJ Hardy C Jason Kendall P Jeff Suppan

If anyone saw the MLB Networks Mid-Season Report, everyone picked Rasmus for ROY. McGehee didn't even get an honorable mention, so he'd have a heck of a hurdle to climb, made nearly impossible now that he's not playing nearly every day with the Lopez trade.

Wait, we're not one of those teams? That's the whole division right there.

And everyone knew it was coming and didn't throw a fit about it or talk smack in the media about it that I recall.

We have no real way to know what kind of accountability they're taking personally. Arguing with umps can be an expression of frustration, not a demonstration of a lack of accountability.

It's amazing how many Pirates fans online are calling for actual physical injuries as a response. Throwing at faces, throwing at the head, throwing at wrists, all seem fair game for most of them. And all the while calling the Crew and us fans classless. Amazing. I can understand high emotions as a response, but seriously, everyone knows you don't respond with that type of intent on the field.

I think you read to much into it trademark04, at least if the bit I heard BA talking about. He was just stating what we all know, that Gamel is in the team's long term plans and that he's going to be on a big league team. It was Rock who said he wouldn't be surprised to see Gamel back before September, not Gamel.

One of the Pirates announcers thought Karstens should have just walked to first and taken his medicine as well.

I enjoy the belief that an erratic Dave Bush grazing 3 jerseys the following day was apparently some sort of retaliation in their book. The other choice quote from that article is that Braun supposedly unleashed a "torrent of venom" for the next 48 hours. As far as I recall, he was aggressive after the first game, and called it over the next day. I know there has been plenty of talk in the past, but I really believe Braun gets labeled a bit harder than he actually deserves. At least from where I sit.

Kendall was fired up, pushing Karstens down the line to first. Karstens almost had a look of fear staring at Kendall. I normally hate statements like "this will finally get them going", but who knows. Kendall certainly was still fired up the next inning, and Braun finally had a good swing. We'll see what tomorrow brings I guess.

Whew, wouldn't want to get my hopes up there to much. That was close!

We should trade that Braun guy for more guys like that Lopez guy.

Or Looper. That guy is on fire.

Hahahaha. Good stuff, thanks for the laugh.

He hasn't made it to Pittsburgh yet.

Great plugs and a great job Brian! Congrats.

I have to drive to Iowa this weekend, and I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it back in time. I need to check the schedule with my wife, but I probably have 2 on the field level, with parking if you're interested.
