The two I've used most often are; Xeran: I've used them for probably 8 years or so now, for a number of sites. I like them, they're normally my go-to host. Dreamhost: They're a motherload when it comes to hosting, but it can be difficult to do some stuff if you don't know what you're doing in the control panel (and sometimes even if you do.) However, their customer support is time notch and very fast to respond. I use them for I think 4 clients now.
I've played the demo a bunch, but I probably wouldn't go any further than renting it. The over-the-top sports genre isn't really my style. And how are the Brewers the 28th best team in the game? Wow.
This is what, our third time being shut out in about 2 weeks? I believe we only had been shut out once before this stretch, but I'm not positive on that. Edit: Yep. We were shut out April 18, June 28, July 1, July 7. Ouch.
To inject some humor into the thread, there's a thread going at St. Louis Today's Card form about what it would take to get Halladay. One guy in particular is pretty amusing; Well if that's just the centerpiece, Halladay better come with a World Series Championship. The mind boggles.
I wouldn't be surprised to see him back out there, but it would be a strange choice. I think they justify his pitch counts normally by the amount of stress pitches he throws, not so much his total pitches. I'd have to think his stress pitch count is pretty high this game.
The bigger issue was he didn't even ask for help on Yo's checked swing, and he was blatantly wrong. Sveum gets ejected for that. Then Albert is up, checks his swing almost exactly the same way, and he asks for help and the right call is made. Randolph said something from the dugout and gets tossed.
That was just silly. I was surprised they didn't replay Yo's "strike three" right away because it didn't look like he went. Between this and some of the work in Chicago, I'm starting to feel like that stretch two seasons ago where the wheels came off in Atlanta with a nice assist from horrible umpiring.
He got a late jump, but it was hit pretty well. I think Prince would have had a hard time scoring on that even without a bad jump. However, he should have been to third on Cameron's single I thought.
These are the things that really frustrate me, more than the inconsistency, especially from a veteran like Cameron. I'm glad I didn't keep count of how many times we've made boneheaded moves between 2nd and 3rd. Combine that miscue with Fielder being the lead runner and that was a miserable wasted opportunity.
You have to give credit for the Brewers promotional staff for most of the mobilization I think. They hit the ground running on getting people in the park to vote for the Brewers very early in the season and running promotions at the park to encourage people to hand in multiple ballots. People complain that internet voting up to 25 times (per email address) has made voting at the park irrelevant, but I don't think the Brewers staff thinks that way. From time to time I would fill out the 10 ballots to get a raffle ticket they hold each game, and I would see plenty of people turning in nearly 100 ballots themselves. Of course, all the promotion in the world doesn't matter if the fan base isn't there to participate or willing to do so as well.
With the day off yesterday, they probably just keep everyone on their normal rest, so they don't have to deal with the 5th starter until Saturday, at which point I'd guess it will be Parra.
