  1. Not my money. Pay it all if it would reduce the prospect haul. That rhymed.
  2. Obviously, the big problem with the offense is the lack of power. I don't know if it's actually true statistically/historically/whatever, but as was the discussion last year, theoretically, it's hard to string together good ABs for a rally against playoff pitching, so you need some..."consistent"...power to get some instant runs.
  3. In sports, when people say "consistent," they really just mean "always good." "I'd just like the offense to be more consistent," is sports speak for, "I'd just like the offense to always be good."
  4. I don't get trade proposals that include guys like Drohan or Henderson. Yeah, obviously Skubal is an upgrade, but assuming they keep pitching well (especially Henderson, since I assume he'd be ahead of Drohan in a potential playoff rotation) he's not THAT much of an upgrade considering the few times he'll pitch and the haul we'd have to give up. Add to the rotation to upgrade it, don't replace a good, young pitcher.
  5. Ignoring whether or not it would be a good idea from a player quality/roster perspective, getting him back for presumably almost nothing would be incredible. Just hilarious.
  6. The only thing worse than the 90's MB hats from the weekend is the full logo with the home plate and crossed bats. Biggest negative gap between old and new when that rebrand happened. Went from arguably the GOAT logo in American professional sports history to one of the worst.
  7. What I have found fascinating about this season is that the Brewers have called up two position players to either be full-time starters (Pratt) or frequent starters (Lara) and just keep winning. It's usually the teams whose seasons are shot that bring up guys to see what they have.
  8. I don't see why in the world the Brewers would want to trade for an OF unless they are a real needle-mover. We have a good starting group and competent depth (though lacking power, but the entire team lacks power, so whatever). Unless you're getting an absolute masher, any difference will be marginal and not worth giving anyone up plus messing with intangibles like chemistry.
  9. This. It's just fun. That's it. (I didn't get to watch, but hopefully MLB TV will have it archived)
  10. Does anyone TRULY care? No, of course not. But lighten up, it's fun! What's there to be grumpy about? Not everything has to be serious.
  11. Cubs DFA'ed Drew Pomeranz and he'll probably hit free agency. He's been bad this year, but I wouldn't be shocked if the Brewers kick the tires.
  12. Would have been a shame for the best uniforms to lose to the worst uniforms.
  13. I have a feeling he's announcing his retirement.
  14. Counterpoint: who cares
  15. Dammit, I was doing something on the computer and looked up at the TV to see the ball fly over the fence. YAY HOME RUN! No, just a replay from a different game.
