  1. I have no takeaways. Bad games happen throughout the season. Everyone just feels worse when it's the first game.
  2. Might as well start a thread for this year. Here's a nice callback:
  3. Definitely one of my favorite Brewers of all time. I'm not going to nitpick over numbers - he was just a fun player and cool guy.
  4. I always appreciate how good the Photoshopping into the new uniform is.
  5. Hope you got paid for that article, otherwise it was a waste of time. All you had to do was write one sentence: No.
  6. Hope you got paid for that article, otherwise it was a waste of time. All you had to do was write one sentence: No.
  7. This should be the goal of every trade and business deal. The best negotiations are the ones where both parties come away pleased. The goal is not to rip off the other side.
  8. There are probably fans who are upset that Brantley turned out great, even though Sabathia almost single-handedly brought us our first playoff appearance in forever. "Winning" a trade is overrated. If the trade accomplished what the team wanted it to accomplish, that's a win. The Brewers have already gotten more than what they hoped for with Yelich and at the exact time they needed it. If all four prospects pan out for the Marlins, that's great for them, as they needed players who could grow and help them down the road.
  9. We got nudity out of this trade, too. Definitely a win now.
  10. Never mind, Yelich hit two homers tonight. We won the trade again.
  11. Counterpoint: Yelich has a legitimate chance to win back-to-back MVP's.
  12. Guys, I think we should pump the brakes a bit and wait to evaluate this trade until we see how Yamamoto pans out.
  13. But what if Harrison turns out to be good? I'm still on the fence.
  14. I'm concerned that we gave up too much for him. What if a couple of those prospects pan out?
  15. You thought Glenn Braggs was ripped back then, check him out now.
  16. Yelich is only the fifth player to hit for the cycle twice in the same season. He's the first two do it in the same season against the same team.
  17. I won't pretend to know much about prospects, as I don't follow the minors, but from what I can tell, Yelich is basically what we were hoping Brinson would become. Now we don't have to wait to see if Brinson actually becomes that. I figure Santana will be dealt for pitching, so the starting OF will be Yelich/Cain/Braun. I also think Broxton will be dealt, putting Phillips as the 4th OF and Perez as the super-sub 5th OF.
