  1. He's retiring after this season, so there's no point in releasing him and they certainly would never have done it earlier in the season.
  2. Brock should recuse himself for this series.
  3. Drove across some season run differential insurance runs.
  4. Well, a win's a win and the bats woke up.
  5. Just stopping by to see how everyone's doing.
  6. The Brewers must have practiced on a Native American burial ground.
  7. Guy tells Mookie Betts he'll name his kid after him if he hits a dinger. Betts does, guy follows through. https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cv-FvDxMcsF/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
  8. It was a pretty good pitch. Probably wanted it a tad higher, but the batter did a great job.
  9. Williams was so calm. He knew nobody was hitting the change-up.
  10. I think of it this way. Of course it's disappointing to lose to bad teams, but those teams are still full of professional players and will still win a whole bunch of games in any given season. It's rare to sweep even the worst teams. So...if the Brewers win Wednesday (IF), then they've won 2 of 3 from Colorado and that's pretty good! Just stinks to have lost Tuesday - and a few games recently - the way they did.
  11. What does that mean? What does a "spark" look like? It seems like "spark" = winning, "no spark" = losing. They just beat the crap out of the Rockies on a one-hitter. They came back to tie the game in the 9th the other day and won in extras. They pounded the Pirates a couple days before that. Were those sparks? Hell, it was a pretty nice "spark" to tie Tuesday night's game late.
  12. I'd rather Anderson play. He stinks.
  13. I appreciate how admirably Rea filled in with all the injuries, but I'm afraid his time may be up.
  14. Urias' body isn't even cold yet and Turang takes his number and proceeds to rake.
  15. Perpetual "welp" gif for this one.
  16. Then he'd be Keston Hiura. 😉
  17. MacKenzie Gore sounds like a TikTok lifestyle influencer.
  18. They don't have to get out of the bottom three - they just have to improve from here on out. Up until a few games ago, the Brewers were in first place, having just dominated the second place team yet again. 11 games over .500 and in first place despite having terrible hitting. Now they've (presumably) upgraded extremely weak spots in the lineup without giving up much of anything. With the pitching and fielding the Brewers have, even just "ok" hitting gives them a chance. Do I think they've closed the gap on the Braves? Of course not. But they weren't going to, even with a blockbuster trade, and at least as it stands now, they still have all the young guys that we hope will be the stars of the future. If the trades work as intended (and obviously, who knows - see 2022), the Brewers will absolutely have a shot to make a run in the playoffs if they get there. Outstanding pitching and fielding with improved, even if still below average hitting, won't make the Brewers World Series favorites, but will give them a shot to beat anyone in a series. I just don't see the point in emptying the farm for, say, Soto, when you can keep all your prospects and not be much worse off in the present.
  19. Hey, at least the hitting wasn't the problem against Atlanta. Kind of refreshing.
  20. Weimer just saved this forum much angst.
