  1. JohnBriggs12, I'd like to think you're right. It seemed like the Brewers hitters were just starting to hit the ball, so hopefully it will carry over to today.
  2. It would probably be better if he gave the whole team a break and let the Stars play this one.
  3. Moeller got at least one hit today, so he's got that going for him, which is good.
  4. When the lineup was put up on the JSonline blog, he included the line "Maybe Gross can finally get his third hit." I wonder if the writer (Haudricourt?) is annoyed about something.
  5. I'd hate for it to be the case, but I wonder if worrying about taking pitches has mixed up some of the hitters. The broadcasters have talked about how the Brewers didn't take enough pitches last year and need to work to wear the pitcher out (and that the coaches are stressing this).
  6. Why wouldn't they call up Murton? With the way Soriano has been hitting, this might actually work out to the Cubs benefit.
  7. Shouse of Pain, at least for left-handers.
  8. I'm a believer in the Brewers Bobblehead Curse.
  9. That's Weeks second home run off of Santana.
  10. I think they're planning on working on the restrictions over the next year. The problem is, without the blackout restrictions, the broadcast contract isn't worth as much to the broadcaster (who would worry that they'll lose viewers to the net).
  11. This is the guy Gabe takes deep
  12. With Gagne on the mound we win... in the next inning.
  13. From my skewed perspective, it seems like Gross thrives if he gets regular playing time, but sucks as a Pinch Hitter. Dillon, however, seems to be able to get by with irregular at bats. My guess is that it'll come down to left handed bat vs. effective pinch hitter and Dillon will win out. Kapler seems to have become (granted in only a few games) Yost's Counsell of the outfield.
  14. After hearing it again I'll nth that it's slopper as well.
  15. Out there prediction: the game last until the 14th inning. The Reds take a two run lead on a Dunn homer. Then Cordero comes in to close it out among the worst booing ever. You can even hear people booing their televisions throughout the state. Cordero's slider is junky and he loads the bases for Jason Kendall. Kendall hits a grand slam into dead center field and the team adds his number to the walk of fame tomorrow.
  16. I've went alone. It's cheap, and as mentioned above, you can usually get a pretty good seat.
  17. If the music bottom of the first music is the same as it was against the Royals, it's a piece called "Oh Fortuna" by Carl Orff.
  18. After seeing an Andrew Bogut car dealer ad, I'm kinda curious why there haven't been any Brewers ads besides the Time Warner ones.
  19. It seems like every game I go to, either Suppan or Bush is pitching. I'm worried about this one too.
  20. The only other player to hit nearly that many homeruns did (Wilie Mays, IIRC), but if Gaylord Perry is to be believed, Mays could easily overthink things.
  21. Also, there's the Bobblehead Curse to keep in mind.
  22. There will be complaints about this line up. I wonder if Rivera is catching because he has more experience with Parra? 2B Rickie Weeks CF Gabe Gross 1B Prince Fielder LF Ryan Braun 3B Bill Hall RF Corey Hart C Mike Rivera SS Craig Counsell LHP Manny Parra
  23. The latest I heard is that he turned the Mets down because they wanted to send him to AAA.
  24. From my wife: You can have the students do something with the prices at the concession stands. For fun, you could have them try to figure out how many Miller Park hot dogs would equal Prince Fielder's salary.
