  1. Yup, it's the Twin night. Jason Kubel goes upper deck?? See, if it weren't for the wussy bunting by Gomez and Casilla that would've only tied it. That P's me off even more now. Swing the damn bat, don't bunt for a hit.
  2. I'm sorry but starting an inning with back to back base hits is being a wussy. Bunting for a base hit is something you did in Little League if you couldn't hit the opposing pitcher. One guy doing it, ok. Guys doing it back to back.....lame.
  3. Never had a good feeling about this one from the start. The Twins are just too hot right now. Alexi Casilla going yard just bears that out. Plus, the Brwers never seem to play well, when they already know the outcome of the Cubs game.
  4. Wow!!! Carlos Delgado has 9 RBI's for the Mets today.
  5. Seriously, did anyone truly believe the Cubs were the best team in baseball as their record suggests?? I never did. They aren't even the best team in the Central division. That team plays in Milwaukee. That being said, the crew better not blow this opportunity tonight.
  6. Corky Miller.....guys like this with really low BA's have always killed the Brewers in big spots. C'mon Sal!!
  7. Ummmm I have heard of Garrett Olson thank you very much. I don't care what he did in the minor leagues or where he was drafted. Ben Hendrickson may have been the best minor league pitcher of all time, yet look what he did at the major league level. All I am saying is, the Brewers had lit up a lot better Pitchers then Olson this year.
  8. How the heck is STL on the verge of sweeping Boston in Boston?? That team sure is living right this year. You'd think the baseball gods will have their say with the Cards before it's over, but then again, I never thought they'd be where they are with that roster either.
  9. Thank You Billy!!! Again, this is Garrett Freaking Olson you're facing.
  10. 2 hits off of Garret freaking Olson??? Are you kidding me?? Why oh why are the Brewers seemingly the only team in baseball that don't absolutely destroy crappy Pitchers?? And a lefty no less. This team crushes leftys, what the heck?? They better get it together because not only would it be totally embarrassing to lose to Garret Olson, but twice as embarrassing to lose a series against the Orioles at home. Just as it was to lose a series to the Twinkies at home.
  11. Well, if Walker stays in(which I assume he will) do you leave Russell in to face him or bring in Billy to PH?? Call me nuts because he's been so bad lately, but if Billy gets the chance to PH tonight with a runner or runners on, he is going to be a hero. This is just that kind of game.
  12. Yup, I think this one is over unfortunately. They had their chance in the 4th. Now their approaches are changing and the patience is no longer there.
  13. Well, unfortunately I think that may have been there best chance to get back into it. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  14. C'mon Craig, find a gap and tie this thing up!!!
  15. Crap, I just have a bad feeling that this is as close as the crew will get tonight. We've seen it before.....they knock out the starter early after getting close then the bullpen comes in and shuts them out the rest of the way. What is Baltimore doing taking Liz out before the game is tied or gives up the lead anyway?? After watching Ned the past few years, I didn't know that was legal??
  16. This should not be happening. I guess I just don't get this team. You play so well in a 3 game sweep against the best pitching staff in the AL in Toronto, and you come back with this kind of effort on a day that you KNOW the Cubs have already won. This team is so frustrating. Great, as if Suppan wasn't bad enough, we get to see the crap that is DeFelice on the hill. This should end well.
  17. Well, this is generally the type of game (behind early) where the Brewers hitters's approach is swing early and often.
  18. They need to burn Wrigley to the ground. The Cubs are mediocre everywhere else except that hole. That's fine, the WS will win the series anyway, plus let's see how excited Cubs fans get if they find out that Freakzambrano is out for the rest of the year.
  19. Update: Zambrano with "right shoulder discomfort".
  20. I was not watching, seriously? Details I did not see it happen myself but i do know after he left the game, he was pointing to his shoulder with the trainer in the dugout. It could be nothing as well. Probably is.
  21. In other news Carlos Headcase left the game with an apparent shoulder injury.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  22. Why does it seem like the Brewers are the only team in baseball that allows pitchers to get their first big league hits and have bi days with the bat, or allow Triple A scrubs like Buscher beat them??
  23. My god, why the constant swings at the first pitch in extra innings?? Seriously, have they never heard of working the count a little bit??
  24. Maybe Bennie can throw in inning if this thing goes about 18 innings?? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  25. I wonder if they absolutely had to, if JJ could PH?? Not that it would be any great shakes, but isn't he now the last bench player available??
