  1. The heart says "yay" as the Phillies take the lead from the Cardinals, but the head says "no, the NLCS will be easier to win vs. the Cardinals".
  2. Yes, but Friday night at same price as M-Th still does not make sense. In addition, I have never understood having things like bobbleheads for Fri-Sun games, seems like it would make a lot more sense to have the bigger giveaways mostly on M-Th.
  3. Yankees can afford $200 million per year in player payroll, but the fans get to sit in the rain and tomorrow it will probably fall into the mid 50s.
  4. There are a few people selling parking passes on craigslist.
  5. Yeah, I had found that picture too, but did not see anything. Could it be just the cables?
  6. I would tend to agree, but it seems like RR had put a lot of weight on what Greinke wanted to do. It could be he told RR he'd rather pitch Sunday, either because it is a home game or because he prefers short rest to extra rest.
  7. For future reference, does will call allow pick up at any time or only the day of the game? I was going to have tickets mailed, just for the souvenir value, but it said 7-10 days for that (and why is that even an option, then?). I wasn't sure how will call worked, so I did not want to do that and went with paying them $2 to print them myself.
  8. I'm sure they have decided who is pitching on Sunday by now and are just keeping it a secret from AZ, right?
  9. I got two in the same section for game 5, so I'm going to be checking out 424 row 8, seats 1 & 2 on Sunday. I have to decide whether to sell those or two in row 8 above 3rd base. I was assuming my obstruction was just going to be railings, but if row 10 is still obstructed maybe there is something more up there? If nobody posts anything, I'll let you know what I find.
  10. Exactly what happened to me, there was lots of time on the clock. Section 330 that was mentioned seems familiar, I think row 3.
  11. Yeah, I got that too. Did that mean single seat and obstructed views were the only tickets available? I was trying to upgrade what I have for Friday, not sure if I did. I am assuming obstruction in row 8 terrace reserve is just a railing? Sunday, I'll have to check out the two sets of two that I now have and decide which to sell should there be a game 5. I got timed out as I was about to buy obstructed view club infield for game 5...I think the only possible obstruction on club level is the clear plastic they have at the end of each aisle?
  12. several of the patrons on the bus (especially on the way back) will be younger men who have probably over-imbibed and who's favorite adjective is the "f-bomb" Maybe less of an issue, if you go to one that is more of a restaurant? We have only done this twice, once was Fiesta Garibaldi (you had to pay $20 when you park and they gave you a voucher for the restaurant for $20), the other was Hector's on State (but I don't see any mention of a shuttle on their website, so they may have dropped this...they were running one for Fri, Sat, Sun games earlier this year).
  13. There could be a game 5 on Friday too. I picked up a couple "cheap" tickets for Friday on stubhub, just in case. I figure most likely the game will not occur, so I'll get my money back, but if it is played it will be the biggest game in Milwaukee since 1982.
  14. If I buy tickets that say "ADA/Wheelchair accessible" do I get actual seats? Am I allowed to use such tickets if no one is handicapped? The tickets I was looking at are advertised as row 5 in terrace box on stubhub.
  15. Ha, I win http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif Time to unload your tickets, Packer fans.
  16. Yes, I would guess Philadelphia is maybe 7:30 and the Brewers are 4 pm or if they give consideration to Packers and AZ having 3 pm football games, perhaps as early as noon.
  17. I think the current slotted start times of those games are something like 5pm and 8:30pm. Except if you look at TBS schedule for PT, they have noon and 3:30 listed. http://www.tbs.com/schedu...ate=10/2/2011&timeZone=4 I'm guessing you are going to see Wisconsin fans get screwed and the Brewers will get the 5:00 start I would think baseball fans that are actually going to the game and, even those watching on TV in WI, would prefer that time to 8:30 PM on Sunday night. Those who think the packers are more important, can sell their tickets to people like me. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif The 8:30 PM time is also only the time the broadcast would start, the actual first pitch would be more like 8:50. It would be rather ridiculous to have a game scheduled such that it might end midnight-1 am.
  18. I think a factor is that a lot of people in AZ have moved there from elsewhere and remain fans of some other team.
  19. This is strange. TBS schedule for pacific time shows this: 6:00 amMLB Division SeriesMLB Playoffs Game 3 9:30 amMLB Division SeriesMLB Playoffs Game 4 1:00 pmMLB Division SeriesMLB Playoffs Game 5 4:30 pmMLB Division SeriesMLB Playoffs Game 6 http://www.tbs.com/schedu...ate=10/1/2011&timeZone=4 But if you click eastern time, it shows: 12:00 pmMLB Division SeriesMLB Playoffs Game 3 3:30 pmMLB Division SeriesMLB Playoffs Game 4 7:00 pmMLB Division SeriesMLB Playoffs Game 5 10:30 pmMLB Division SeriesMLB Playoffs Game 6
  20. ...and on stubhub, starting at $10...ah, but that is a single seat, you'd have to go all the way up to $12 to get the cheapest pair.
  21. I happened to see a craigslist post by a Phillies fan yesterday. He had bought tickets for games in AZ back when it looked like a sure thing that it was going to be Philadelphia vs. AZ and Brewers vs. Atlanta. In his post he had said "If your interested in watching your ball club in perfect weather", so I emailed him just to give him a hard time about that since we do have a roof here. We ended up exchanging a few emails and he told me to let him know if I know of anyone who might be interested in tickets for games in AZ. So if anyone is you can PM me and I will send you his email address. He tells me the seats are rows 2-6 right behind the dugout.
  22. That could just mean that the team with the better #1 pitcher tends to win and also that teams that limp into the playoffs (e.g. Brewers 2008) tend to lose. I agree that having your best pitcher lined up to pitch two of the 5 games should be a bigger priority than home field. Who that #1 should be for the 2011 Brewers is not clear to me, I have no problem with it being Yo.
  23. The Brewers had a mediocre September... For September Gallardo is #1 among Brewer starters for: WHIP, AVG, and SO
  24. I'm getting worried by this vomitorium talk, due to pricing it is looking like we will choose to relegate ourselves to terrace level rather than our usual choice of club level. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  25. Which means they're doomed unless the Brewers lose and AZ wins, because otherwise Marcum and Grienke are pitching in the wrong places in the NLDS, right? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
