  1. I was glad to be standing a lot, too. Let me see better over the terrace stair railings from first row terrace reserve. I'll be glad to be back to the club level for game 6 next Sunday. From now on I'll be wearing earplugs. I'm currently hoping that my hearing loss from last night is only temporary.
  2. If they are behind 3-2, why flip-flop Marcum and Gallardo for the last 2 games? They would have to win both game, so it really doesn't make much sense to have Gallardo go on short rest there.
  3. I don't think Selig will get booed, but it'd be nice to hear an "open the roof" chant for him...don't expect that either, though.
  4. Yeah, it appears not: http://www.sportsgrid.com...dium-home-run-sculpture/ http://mlb.sbnation.com/2...what-is-that-gaaaaaaaaah
  5. I'm keeping mine from the future, hope that's okay. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  6. Exactly, To me consistency meant only trying to avoid a situation where the roof was open for part of the game and then had to be closed. For game 2, I was willing to accept keeping it closed since the temps would be dropping and it was likely they would want to close it sometime during the game and the temp at the start was no such that it was too warm in there. Today it is going to be near 80, add 44,000 plus hot bodies to that and it's probably going to be 85 or above in there.
  7. Most of the comments on the J-S story on this are appropriately negative, calling this idiotic decision (whoever's it was) exactly what it is. So I think the majority of fans attending the game, you know the people who pay for MLB, would prefer to have the roof open on a nice pleasant day like this. The excuse that MLB wants conditions consistent with the other 4 games is really pathetic.
  8. Okay, now I have had it with the idiotic roof decisions! I called the roof hotline as they always seem to be looking for reasons to close it, but I was not really expecting that they would come up with some asinine decision like this for today, but they did. Forecast is for temps of 78 falling to 69 at 8 pm.
  9. I got 2 club infield for game 3 and game 4...game 4 is even aisle seats. Went for those because game 3 will be either Friday or Sunday (and Friday it'll be the only game, so 7 /7:30 start time, I assume) and game 4 would be a game 7 vs. the Cardinals. This post season is getting expensive...potentially $468 for those 4 and already about $320 spent on last Sunday and tomorrow. Makes our $6.50 Blue Moons from the club level bar seem cheap.
  10. If I were to get a refund, I was thinking I'd contact the Brewers and say "I never printed them, can I have my $2 back". http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  11. I thought it was a limit of 4 in total, so 2 per game for 2 games would be it, wouldn't it? I also need only 2, so was going to try to get 2 games as I thought the limit was 4 tickets, not 4 per game. The email says: "you may purchase up to four (4) total tickets for League Championship Series games".
  12. In September I figured if the Brewers got Atlanta they would probably win it in 3-4 games, but if it were the D'backs there was a good chance that it would go 5. The Yankees and Phillies, two teams that are much better than the Brewers, are going to game 5 also. The path that the Brewers took to game 5, winning 2 then losing 2 just makes it seem worse.
  13. I'm hoping that tomorrow will be. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  14. I like Alberta, who turned down ~$200 million, complaining that the game time was about money: "They're making their money, they're paying their money. I guess they put the game time however they want it."
  15. Yes, with a day off before a possible game 5, there is no reason to hold back anyone but the game 5 starter (presumably Gallardo).
  16. Section 424 (OBV 424), row 8, aisle. These are obstructed view, due to the stair railings. (Of course, I am not really going to sell these...I'll be getting a refund, instead) But if I were going to sell, I would say: send me a PM, if interested and I would do the transaction tomorrow. Also I think I could forward email with a link, so that tickets can be printed and I think I could get paid via paypal. tickets have been sold
  17. Tonight's game at 8:37 central is the normal start time for a weeknight game in AZ, of course I'd rather have it start earlier but I have no problem with having at the normal time for a game in AZ. Starting at 8:37 local time is another matter.
  18. Between the price gouging on parking, and all the extra hoops that you have to go through just to park, etc., it's just not worth it. If your main complaint is that, then it's simple...don't park in the lots. Do a little research and find where you can park for free and walk, it's good exercise on a nice day like yesterday. (of course, that doesn't work if tailgating is a big factor for you) I never use the lots, after a 20 minute walk I drive home with absolutely no traffic problems by avoiding the freeway. It's also maddening that the roof is consistently closed on days like we had on Saturday and Sunday. I agree, with that...well, for Sunday or at least part of Sunday. I have said before that, unfortunately, they look for reasons to have it closed, rather than looking for reasons to have it open. Usually that would bother me much more, but it was such a big game I really didn't care. I was not there on Saturday, but my impression was it was cool enough that I would have agreed with closing it, as most fans are not in the sun and mid 50s gets cold when you are just sitting.
  19. Houston only ruined things if MLB is too incompetent to distinguish between "we are going to play with the roof position because we think it is an advantage to..." vs. "we are going to start with the roof open, because it is a comfortable sunny day, when the temperature drops to 60 (for example) we will close the roof at the end of the next complete inning".
  20. Was he? I didn't catch that and was saying, "it's the playoffs, get someone up...no reason why K-rod can't go 2". In the playoffs we may even see some long-term benefit from some of the stuff that RR did during the year, like bunting too much. That has maybe developed greater comfort and skill in bunting, which may be useful when playing only against top pitchers in the playoffs...also he hopefully now knows, never give Yuni a bunt sign. As an aside, after seeing Yuni's one miserable attempt at bunting, I wondered if he had intentionally "missed" the sign a couple other times when baserunner(s) seemed to maybe have been expecting a bunt with him at bat.
  21. Between things like this and the fact that the roof was closed in perfectly good fall baseball weather, I'm glad I didn't shell out the bucks to go to these games. Those grapes are sour, eh? The roof decision was dumb, but that didn't really ruin the experience. I'll take the dumb roof decisions over the conditions that fans have had to sit through in Philadelphia and NY anytime. The decision to build the park in a location that caters to tailgaters (rather than putting it downtown) while a negative to me, also does not ruin the experience.
  22. Michael Hunt writes: I'm just kinda guessing the crowd is going to be less of a factor in AZ and that there will be a significant portion that will be Brewer fans.
  23. J-S article says: Game 3 on Tuesday in Phoenix will be at 8:37 p.m.; Game 4 there on Wednesday would be at 8:37 p.m. unless it is the only game that night, moving it up to 7:07 p.m. Game 5 on Friday at Miller Park would be at 4:07 p.m. Odd that it would specifically mention Wed. game time possibly changing (which now will not), but not Friday's.
  24. So we walked there and I could tell it was a little too long of a walk so was glad I had the pass... It's like 0.8 mile, which is maybe a 20 minute walk for an adult. Unless it's raining, I don't understand why people who are able to walk don't just walk...or maybe that is the problem, they do walk, leaving only drunks and those with small children on the bus?
  25. Of course I don't know if it was the loudest ever, but it was insanely loud where I was on the club level. Definitely the loudest I have ever experienced there. I just came here to see what folks were saying during that 6th inning because I thought it was nuts how long they left that pitcher in. I thought he had to be rattled by the balk and the bad throw on the squeeze and the noise.
