  1. Hamels is getting a lot of strikes YO isn't...It's big-boy time, have to make the catch Cam
  2. Let's wake the bats up today and score about 9!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Ben, we appreciate the effort, but let's get Bushie in there and keep this at 2-0.
  4. WORST. CASE. SCENARIO. After yesterday, this is not what the team needed
  5. let me be the first to say....LET'S GO NATS!!!!!
  6. Mota....Soriano can't hit a 5 run homer...but if you start walking people...that's trouble
  7. By the way...Shouse really needs to stay in the pen in close games...
  8. Couldn't agree more....it crossed at the letters and ended at the belt....I guess too close to take?
  9. The Mets are the team we are going to have to stay in front of, I think. The pHils schedule is so easy they will win the division. So the Mets have four at Washington, three at Atlanta...four at home with the Cubs, and three with the Marlins. That is at least a glimmer, but the Crew has to start hitting and it already might be too late.
  10. Seriously, minus Sheets having the good stuff, I felt better about the game tonight than any game on that homestand. Let's get 'em tomorrow and everyone here can relax. I am also in the camp of be careful of the Astros. Now they have two days off for the Cubs, florida, pitt, cincinnati, and Atlanta. That's not really scary....
  11. Not the right place, but FYI...first two games of Cubs at Astros series have been postponed. We'll see about Sunday
  12. HOUSTON (AP) - The first two games of this weekend's series between the Chicago Cubs and Houston Astros have been postponed because of the potential impact of Hurricane Ike. The teams were to have started a three-game series in Houston on Friday night. No makeup dates have been set. "There are various scenarios under consideration with regards to the rescheduling of the postponed games," the Astros said in a statement. Ike had sustained wins of near 100 mph on Thursday and was expected to make landfall on the Texas coast late Friday or early Saturday. Some forecasts projected that Ike could strengthen to a Category 4 hurricane with winds of at least 131 mph.
  13. Astros get a grand slam from Tejada and it's 7-2 now
