  1. Rounders. For years I couldn't watch that movie without desperatley wanting to go to a casino afterwards.
  2. excellent article. I was at that game as well and remember it very fondly.
  3. Where online to you find the location of your polling place? Is it bad that I now live in Menomonee Falls, but never changed the address on my drivers liscence--basically, if I bring my id with my old address and a utility bill with my new address in the falls, will I be able to register and vote? Thanks for the insight.
  4. are you looking for the powder blue or the pinstripe version?
  5. stumbleupon.com not an actual website, but a toolbar that you can click on and basically channel surf the web for things that you are interested in. i would guess that i spend (waste) at least five hours a week stumbleing.
  6. I was at Great American in Cincy the first year it was open and it was Ok for the most part. Not much going on around the stadium, and you had to drive through Kentucky to leave the parking ramp we were in which was odd. The biggest thing that I remember about it, was how clean the stadium and surrounding area was, probably because there is no kind of tailgating anywhere. Although the team was really bad then, the fans were fairly knowledgeable and friendly. PNC was one of the best I've been to. Like everyone else says, great sightline and atmosphere. Plus the night I was there, professional hitter Matt Stairs hit a bomb over the soda bottle (I think Pepsi) that bounced into the river and the place went nuts. Camden Yards was very neat. Not a lot of bars persay, but lots of cool little things around and inside the stadium. There for one of the last games of 03, and thought at the time that we were seeing Roger Clemens pitch his last regular season game. Plus it was $1 hot dog day, so that always means more fun.
  7. I really liked Braun's comment at the end of the article. Sounds as if he is stepping up to be a team leader on and off of the field already. And ask Moises Alou about Braun's weakness on defense after the last two days!
  8. Most of my Cub fan interaction happens at ballgames, where I kindly and calmly ask them not to pee in the sink, even though sinks do resemble the troughs from Wrigley. If that doesn't work, and they have small children with them just lean down to their kids and explain to them that someday their fathers will love them enough to get tickets to their teams home games. That and I find it really uplifting on the spirit to cut off as many Cubs fans on the way into and out of traffic as possible. Immature and child-like I know, but it reall feels good to let several cars full of Brewer fans in line in front of anyone with Illinois liscence plates.
  9. I was there earlier this year, and it was a great time. Park in one of the garages downtown and walk, it's not a bad area really. There is no tailgating, but there are two or three bars that have outdoor patio or beer gardens set up for every home game. We went to Mike Shannon's before and after the game and it was a very fun time. Be prepared to down plenty of Budweiser products, or on the second level of the stadium they have an area with actual booze during the game. The professional bowling hall of fame is right outside the stadium as well, and that wasn't as boring as I thought it would be either.
