  1. That was the part that confused me, why didn't you hit Berkman? Well, that and putting a runner on based purposely in front of one of the hottest hitters in the game.
  2. Good points that are kind of lost in that whole issue of Villy/Mota. Mota was kept in until the lead was gone, that is a movie we've all seen too often; and it feels like Ned believes there's a rule against having a reliever up to begin an inning. With lefties up 3rd and 5th that inning, not having Shouse even loosening up to begin the inning isn't being proactive, and one of my gripes is Ned seems to be completely reactive vs proactive...
  3. I'm still reeling over the save situation comment. Does Ned think he's managing a fantasy team here, and needs to rack up saves? If he'd come out and say that he thought Mota was the right call, and it didn't work, I could at least understand it. I hate that there's no flexibility in the "script" and I still thought you stick with Villy there, but I would have at least understood it. I will never understand the save situation comment, I think that statement alone is the defining moment of the Ned Yost era, and like others, I'm now starting to question Melvin and Mark A allowing this to continue.
