BTW - I know this is late and all, but IF you were gonna pull CC, why not Shouse to face LH Giles instead of the rightie Gagne? I still can't get over how badly he mangled that. On any level it was a complete dumb move.

I'm sorry, I'm not trying to just complain as I've lurked here a while in order to try and not be too much of a noob. But, seriously, you can complain all you want about Gagne, but he's done this all year. Is he worth $10M? Of course not. But I don't blame him, I blame the guy that keeps throwing him out there in high pressure situations. I mean, who didn't see this coming? And I will never understand how you trot CC out there past the 7th in a 9-1 game against SF, but you yank him tonight, up 2-1 with a 4 game losing streak and facing Peavy tomorrow. Yost should be fired, he is incompetent beyond belief.

Ned Yost should be fired. Immediately. I mean, between innings. How can you keep Sabathia in a game up 9-1, but pull him tonight? How?

9-3 game? Throw him a full 9! 7-0 game? Throw him a full 9! 9-1 game? Throw him a full 9! Up 2-1 in the midst of potentially horrific losing streak? Let Gagne protect the 1 run lead. oops, I mean, give up the lead. Yost should be fired. Tonight.

Really? He leaves him in up 7-0, but in a 2-1 game where the WC lead could drop to 3, he's gonna pull him? I will never ever understand the brilliance of one Ned Yost.

Whew. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm not trusting this to any reliever. I don't care if Sabathia ends up with 180 pitches.

26 years of data, and I still allowed myself to think that this is the year. This is brutal.

Man, if by chance Sabathia doesn't win tomorrow, this could get really ugly facing Peavy the next day followed by an inconsistent Parra.

I'd hardly call that a killer, without the error, it's still 4-1 and an offense that defines clutchiness.
