  1. I'm not sure what the Pirates are looking like as the video on the WGN broadcast has been out for awhile. Not a good day for their production crew as they started the broadcast playing the radio audio so they were playing Pat Hughes giving the lineups while showing Kasper and Brenly.
  2. It will be interesting to see who Marquette pursues and ultimately hires. This is a big hire for 'new' AD Cottingham.
  3. Let's go Braun - an insurance run here sure would be nice.
  4. All he had to do was touch the bag - ugh!
  5. I was going to say this also - it's not like everyone can simply get pregnant when they want to. This reminded me of starting pitcher Tom Browning of the Reds in the 1990 World Series. He left Game 2 early to be with his wife while she was in labor and the game went into extra innings. The Reds had radio announcer Marty Brennaman go on the air and ask Browning to come back to the ballpark in case they would need another pitcher. Browning was watching on TV and never heard Brennaman's plea and the Reds won in Extra Innings and they never got to the point where they needed Browning anyway.
  6. Cards have tied it at 2 in the top of the 3rd and have a guy at 3rd with one out. Go AZ!
  7. Come on Pirates!
  8. Bummer they couldn't take advantage and now the Cubs get another run - 7-5 Pitt top of the 7th.
  9. Especially with Prince due up - ugh! On the bright side, Pittsburgh is up 1-0 on the Cubs in the 1st.
  10. Way to give the game away with that move Ned - why on earth would you bring on Aquino? I've got to stop torturing myself by watching Brewers games.
  11. Yeah for the scoreboard on TV - I mised that.
  12. Nice slide Corey. At least they were able to tie it here.
  13. Nice steal by Ricky and hit by Braun to tie it up there. Let's go Prince!

  15. http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u135/MarquetteFan/paul8.jpg I grew up in Cincy and Paul O'Neill became my favorite player (had a few great personal interactions with him at appearances also). One of my best baseball memories was in August of 1994 being in the County Stadium right field bleachers during batting practice wearing my Paul O'Neill t-shirt from when he was in Cincy and having him throw me a ball. I was surprised he did that and didn't catch the ball and a teenager grabbed it. A few minutes later the person who caught the ball gave it to me saying he didn't realize at first that O'Neill was throwing the ball to me - the usher had said something and I was grateful. Later I got the ball signed by O'Neill and it's one of my prized possessions.
  16. I saw him play a few years ago against the Timber Rattlers. I thought it was pretty impressive that he was going all the way back down to A ball to try to make this comeback with his switch to the outfield. I was happy to hear during the Braves game today that the Cards were bringing him up today - it's quite a comeback for him. Speaking of the Braves, they're trying to pull a Brewers as they've given up 3 runs in the 9th. Then it just looked like the Mets were going to tie it with a homerun but the Braves made a great catch to save it for now.
  17. I love watching Prince run the bases :-). More small ball - yeah!
  18. Thanks - I've been lurking for awhile and finally posted. It was kind of ironic that my husband was the one who noticed the slipup as I'm much more of a sports fan than him. I've got him trained well though - he regularly turns on ESPN or the Brewers game and hands me the remote when I walk in the room :-). I hate when they do phone interviews - just focus on the game!
  19. I missed it as I wasn't paying close attention but my husband heard them say that Carlos Lee was with the Brewers this year.
