  1. Any bets that "Soup" gets shelled in the 5th and gets taken out anyway. What a waste. Always attempting to squeeze out one more inning.
  2. Since everybody is #42, can we just have Braun bat everytime until he gets on base and then have someone else bat.
  3. Plus the Brewers don't want you to drink in the parking lot. They would rather have you buy the $7 beer in the park and wait in line there. Gee, more port o potties, what a novel idea. This is just about like the Suttle Bus problem. Another problem that isn't really there, but they want it to be a problem and create some stupid solution. I agree with a few other people that the Brewers are so stupid when it comes to popular games, like bobblehead games, that they don't rip the ticket. Anybody can go through and get the bobblehead and then go and sell the ticket and the person buying the ticket is out of luck. Great, sounds like this is a done deal. Now on to more fun stuff.
  4. At 3pm on Saturday they still had OV and SRO tickets to Opening Day. I didn't want any, but overheard the guy at the next booth.
  5. When was the last time a Brewer was in a National commercial?
  6. Compared to last year, it was rather easy getting tickets this year. Went down about the same time, 3pm, as last year, and hardly a wait this year. Got all the tickets I was looking for, and in good locations. They didn't even have all the windows open Bring on the season. Did everybody else get the tickets they were looking for?
  7. Yep, the experts know. Check out the train cars in Kenosha County. Ooops. (I know, I know, it is a different type of train).
  8. Now we found out that men need to start going around just wearing their underwear. Time to rid the pants. Animals, yep, got to have those animals in all the ads.
  9. Gee, I guess that is what they do in the "real" world.
  10. Again just throwing out an idea if "job creation" is the main idea. Then why don't they just start spending some of that $1 trillion coming from the money tree on tearing down some of the old warehouses and create some new housing projects. As an example, on East Washington just past the Capitol there are a bunch of old warehouse and old factories that could be demolished and turned into new housing for students people in Madison. Just an idea. I am not saying this is the #1 idea but it would rank higher up than this train idea. Or start replacing the holes that college students live in, 10 deep or so. Everything doesn't need to be a new idea, there can be replacement ideas.
  11. And we are only concerned about the number of stops between Milwaukee and Madison being too mnay and making this too slow. Just how many stops do you think will be made between Madison and the Twin Cities?
  12. To a comment above about just catching the next train about 30 to 45 minutes later--- Just how many trains are going to be on this track going back and forth? Will there be 1 train? 2 trains? 25 trains? nd how will all these trains be on the tracks? I just don't think this train will be running one night, such as last night with a Badger Basketball game, and then no train tonight with no event in Madison. Either the train will be running at 11pm with nobody in it or it will not be running when there is a Basketball game. It is not random.
  13. For the record, no I am not an engineer and such. But the point I am attempting to make with the 3rd lane-- not that that is even a great idea, is this is like adding an outdoor swimming pool to a house in Wisconsin when they don't even fix or claim they don't have the money to fix broken windows. Fixing the broken windows would serve far better than coming up with something new like the swimming pool. Next we will hear that more bridges are falling apart yet, guess what, we will not have budgeted one dime for their repair.
  14. Again, the economics of spending $66 for a round trip ticket between Milwaukee and Madison is not going to make this project "money wise". Are you really willing to spend $330 a week on travel between Milwaukee and Madison for your job or pleasure? And all this talk of having people go to Brewer and Badger games-- it is not going to happen. Are you really going to catch a train out of Milwaukee at 5pm for a Badger Basketball game at 7pm and then wait around Madison until the next day to return? Again, $66 round trip. And as for someone like Hawing-- is she and her SO really going to shell out $132 extra to see that Brewer game compared to about $10 now? Again, sounds all great until reality hits.
  15. Sorry, Milwaukee to Illinois line is NOT Milwaukee to Madison. Also, it is funny earlier that you bring up the issue of only saving 15 minutes to get to your place up North on Hwy 45 and such. The real issue of going to 4 lanes is not a time issue, it is a safety issue.
  16. A better use of the money would be to add a third traffic lane from Milwaukee to Madison. Yet, because that is not the "cool" thing to do, it will never happen until they have wasted this money. Then they will need to spend more money to fix the real problem. I will ask this, if it is such a great idea, why hasn't this been done by the private sector business. The answer-- it is a waste of money and will be a 'Money Pit".
  17. And $9,000 is about what-- 5 pitches for Doug Davis.
  18. Belling has talked and bashed the Brewers on this issue for the past 2 days. Also, $300 is a drop in the bucket for a big business like the Brewers. It just seems they are being Business Unfriendly to someone that is bringing them a lot of business and keeping drunks off the road. These people also tend to consume a few more beers in the stadium. They should be happy that these people are taking shuttle buses and such and not wanting to drive and park in already crowded parking lots and consuming more gasoline. I guess the Green the Brewers think about is Dollars. Gee, and how much money was spent on Doug Davis. I am sure this $9,000 will go along ways. Seems Dollar foolish and Penny wise.
  19. Both games are also BobbleHead dates. I wonder being night games is going to take some of the luster appeal as being something for "kids".
  20. Why wouldn't you be able to leave a car at the mall parking lot? They don't know if you are shopping or not. Just take an outer edge spot. Any complaints, which there will be none, go in the mall and walk out-- there, you shopped.
  21. FOX, enough with that stupid "Funeral" music that you must play before every "big" event. I also hate that they think that we must have a guy run on the field with a camera every time someone hits a home run so we get to see a running view from 3rd base to Home. Enough.
  22. The Brewers didn't know that 9/20 would be a Packers game!!!! The Packers could have played on Monday night 9/21 or on Sunday night. Both would not have conflicted with the Packers. Again, the schedule for the Packers didn't come out until April, about 2 months after tickets went on sale to the Brewers public. If it would have been Ryan Braun on September 20-- people lined up for tickets in February would have been purchasing tickets and extras of the cheap seats and doing the circle game to collect his bobblehead. It just wasn't being done yesterday for Melvin. Again, the Brewers Marketing staff goofed on NOT having a GOOD bobblehead. They could have held off on having the Braun or Fielder Bobblehead until September. Heck, they could have had a Hank Aaron Bobblehead and it would have done better than Doug Melvin. Doug Melvin has little or no value. The Cubs games are on WeekDay nights== not convient for families to attend the games on School nights. Plus the Cubs and their fans realize they are out of it and not going to travel north.
  23. Correct Hawing-- The Packers schedule comes out in April. The Brewers season has already started and fans have purchased tickets. The Packer game would have nothinbg to do with advanced sales if the bobblehead was of "value". Again, I say that the Marketing crew at the Brewers goofed and didn't pick a good bobblehead for the day. There would have been hundreds of fans that would have purchased tickets if the bobblehead would have had value. Again, the Marketing crew should have picked Fielder or Braun or such if they really wanted tickets sold.
  24. How bad did the Brewers Marketing team goof on the game yesterday? All other Bobblehead games are sellouts or near sellout (40,000 plus) with the sausages. Yesterday the game for Doug Melvin was lucky to have 30,000. They should have created some interest and used the date for the Bobblehead of Braun or Fielder. They should have been able to pull in 40,000 (even with a Packer Game) yesterday. The marketing team just goofed by thinking that people would get excited about Doug Melvin Bobblehead and it cost them 10,000 tickets being sold.
