  1. I met my wife when she was 36. Back when she was 12 she used to see Ghosts. The first Ghost she'd ever seen was her Grandmother who'd passed way recently. She said her grams appeared in her bedroom sitting on her bed about 4 days after the funeral and Grams would tell her not to be so angry about things in life. Back then even at such a young age Keisha (my wife) had anger issues due to things i wont mention here but...she had anger issues. Her grandmother was her closest family member. Her grams is the one who really raised her. She was a latchkey kid because her moms had to work so much to support her. I once made a topic asking you guys if you believe in ghosts. ( i make a lot of topics I know) and it was 50/50. 50 percent of you said you do believe and you've had similar experiences. Well my wife saw her dead Grams for years...often getting advice. The family had to take her to the cemetery and hold her over the headstone and say some prayers in order to get the ghost to stop visiting her. When my wife was 24 she had her first physical experience with ghosts. She awoke and couldnt get out of bed...something was holding her body down. she then was able to see them. It was 4 dead kids..all ghosts...holding her down in the bed, not letting her get up. She tried to scream but nothing came out. SHe told me it was 3 black boys and one white girl..all pale skin and sunken eyes with rings and dents under their pupils and in their cheeks. One of the boys said to her..."Get out". And then they disappeared and she got out the bed screaming and vomiting out of horror. Her mother moved her out of that house a week later. When I met my wife back in 2012, she had already been visited constantly by a little boy named Melvin who kept asking Keisha where was he. It seemed the little ghost boy thought he was lost..he didnt know where he was or how he got there. Keisha kept this from me for years. The boy would pop up in the bathroom the most, when Keisha would shower or do her makeup and he'd ask where he was. Keisha and this boy talked often but it never got anywhere...the kid always asked the same questions. Keisha never told me any of this till recently. I was over her house alot...shaving, showering..doing all the things one does in a bathroom. One day keisha came in the bathroom as I was in their shaving my head and Melvin was in their next to me. melvin slammed the door shut in Kiesha's face...but to me it seem like Kiesha had closed the door. I walked out the bathroom 12 mins later...asking Keisha where was I. I didnt remember coming over to her house. I left her house and went to my car to go to work. Keisha looked out the window..and the person who opened up my car door and got in it and drove away wasnt a 37 year old man...it was a 12 year old 95lb little boy. A little boy who could barely see over the steering wheel. Keisha cried at the window that day as I drove away and hasnt mentioned this since. Every time i show up at her house or she comes to mine...its not 'me' who she sees...its Melvin...all 4 foot 8 inches of him. Ricky Smith seems 'himself' in the mirror and still has his same thoughts and mannerisms. He doesnt know that Ive inhabited his vessel and his wife cries and shakes and contemplates checking herself into a mental institution every day. He doesnt know shes dying inside...slowing drifting toward the dark abyss of madness that he'd never be able to fathom in a million years. He actually thinks hes writing this...using some kind of creative talent. He doesnt and never will know this actually all happened...its real...and Im more alive in his body than he is or ever was. Happy Halloween... Melvin.
  2. Whats the most exciting play to see? Your SP recording the final out of a ho-hitter Your #3 batter winning the game with a walk of grand slam (you were down by 3) Your RFer nailing the would-be tying run at the plate from deep right...preserving the 1 run win on the road in the bottom of the 9th Your CFer scaling the wall and taking away a grand slam in the top of the 9th and preserving the 1 run win.
  3. What are you some your favorite baseball CALLS/Commentary of all time? Maybe its also a great baseball moment...but what Im most interested in are calls you heard that you think were remarkable. What are a couple of your all time favorite calls? Some famous calls are... "The GAINTS IN THE PENNAN!!! THE GIANTS WIN THE PENNANT!! THE GIANTS WIN THE PENNANT!!" "I don't believe....what I just saw!!" "In to deep left center...from Mitchell....And we will see you....tomorrow night." "Freese hits it in the air to center.........we will see you..........tomorrow night." "A swing and a miss. and that's a winner! That's a winner! A world series winner...for the cardinals!" "Smith corks one in to right down the line....it may go.....go crazy folks, go crazy!" What are some of your favorite calls?
  4. Would you be interested in playing a basegall game (video game of course) in which you play an entire season and the code in the game analyses how you managed your bullpen (taking starting out when they get in trouble etc etc) and your bullpen arms get injured and or lose efficiency if you over use them? You know how we often times say managers don't know what they are doing? If they made a game that analyzed how you 'managed' the team for a complete season would you be interested in it? There would be so many nuances of a game like this to test how well you are at making the right moves at the right times.
  5. Who would you say is should go down as the best performer/musician of all time between the two. http://www.elvis-foreveryone.com/resources/Madison_Square_Garden_dvd.jpg http://www.sonyinsider.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/4b64aa31468843e0_large.jpg
  6. You have a teenager....and these 4 people are willing to mentor your child for a year and teach them everything they know about business, success, the corporate world and how to make your dreams come true. You can choose only one of them...who do you choose? http://38.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mw2rw89XQP1qizatjo1_r1_1431582135_cover.jpg http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/culture/files/2011/07/p_gordon-ramsay_1584816c.jpg http://www.standard.co.uk/showbiz/article7261807.ece/alternates/w300/http:-img.dailymail.co.uk-i-pix-2007-09_02-cowellAP1209_228x416.jpg http://dayandadream.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/kanye-west-bbc-interview.jpg

  10. Whos the greatest coach of our era?
  11. lolol...come on WTP stop joking lol.
  12. The Superbowl commercials got me to wondering. If you could create a commercial featuring your favorite team or athlete what would it be? Mine would be like this... Stan Musial is up to bat and the pitcher throws a fast ball and Musial hits it into the gap. He rounds first base and morphs into Lue Brock. Brock rounds second and morphs into Ozzie. Ozzie rounds third and morphs into Yadi. Yadi slides into home just barely beating the tag. This is the key...the voice over you hear and Yadier Molina completes this inside the park homerun is Jack Buck and his famous call..." I don't believe.....what I just saw!" The screen fades to black as the crowd goes berserk as 'Cardinals Nation' appears on the black screen signaling the beginning of the season. What would yours be?
  13. LOL Damn I never would have thought that match up would be so one-sided lolol. OK here is another one...who wins? http://www.xefer.com/image/chigurh.jpg

  17. My wife has a reoccurring dream that her parents get killed and then "body snatched" by aliens. They then chase her and her brother through the woods, but she wakes up before being captured. I often have a dream and then realize Im dreaming so then I take over and start flying or using telekinesis to do all kinds of Japanese anime type stuff. But more seriously, one theme seems to come up very often in my dreams. I'm back living where I lived when I was about 11 years old. Someone or some "thing" is trying to get in the house (often through the front door) and I trying to stop it. Sometimes it's a scary feeling, others times its not. Its just me trying to keep the "intruder(s) from getting in the house. I have tried to fight them/it/she/he off with telekinesis, with guns, sticks, words and sometimes just prayer. I found these sites: http://www.dreammoods.com/dreamdictionary/ http://www.tehillah.org/dreams5.shtml Anyone else ever seriously thought about dream analysis?
  18. wow. had no idea the pics would be so scattered. Thought certain villains would have about 10 "votes" by now. charactors like Darth Vader, Jason Vorhees, Smith (matrix) Scarface, ...etc etc. But its good to be reminded of so many great characters.
  19. Discuss your all time favorite villains from movies, TV, comics, radio, sports and real life. As we discuss, we'll keep count and see who is BFN's number 1 villain. Discuss no more than 10 villains. 1. Bill the Butcher - Gangs of New York 2. Thanos - Marvel comincs 3. Jigsaw - Saw movies 4. Smith - Matrix 5. Randy Orton - WWE 6 and 7 Marlo and Snoop - The Wire 8. Sylar - Hero's 9. Tony LaRussa - StL. Cardinals 10. Little Bill - Unforgiven Who's on your list?
  20. 5 Guys blows everything away for me, best burgers AND fries by far. i say this never having tried Culvers or In and Outs. I dont know what happened to Micky D;s fries or if I have somehow out grown them, but they are not what they used to be. Best fries IMO are 5 guys, Rally's and BK in that order. White Castles mimi chese burgers are the best "drunk" burgers. Id leave a club at 3 in a cab and go through the WC drive through and get 4 burgers, onion rings and a shake. I go to Sonic 2 or 3 times a week in the summer for their shakes, slushies and floats, but nevert tried their burgers. Someone once told me they were above average though.
  21. Yes, the thick burger is indeed Hardee's signature burger, forgot about that one. And I've never heard of Culvers. Must not be a St. Louis chain. A "Butter" burger sounds interesting though.
  22. What is your favorite signature burger? There are quite a few them that I think are in the running. Here are a few: 1. Wendy's Classic Single 2. 5 Guys Double Cheese 3. White Castle mini burger 4. Jack-N-The-Box Grilled Sourdough burger 5. Red Robins 5 Alarm Chilli burger 6. Steak&Shake Steak Burger 7. Fudruckers Double Cheese Burger 8. In&Outs 3x3 Jungle Burger 9. Bic Mac 10. Double Whopper W/Cheese 11. Sonic Bacon Double Cheese Burger 12. Quarter Pounder W/Cheese 13. Fat Burger 14. Rally Burger 15. Hardees Steak and Cheese Burger So we're talking about best signature burger, not the burger that puts them all to shame that only you and 10 other people know exist. Discuss.
  23. cool letters..a lot of you.
  24. So, Ive been thinking about baseball commercials. Now days, we have the ESPN Albert Pujols "machine" commercial, every Baseball Tonight analyst has his own commercial, (I like the Peter Gammons one) and most MLB team have their own creative commercials, such as these- So if you could commercialize your favorite player (or any player for that matter) what would it look like? I thought of one a few years ago when Jim Edmonds was with the Cardinals. It went like this: The commercial would start off with a wide angle view of the outfield at Busch Stadium. You'd then see Edmonds on a black horse galloping from right-center field going towards left. All this is in Simi slow motion. Edmonds is now looking up towards the sky. You see a close up view of the steed's face. Its nostrils flare as it snorts and grunts while digging for more speed. You'd then see Edmonds adjust his gloved right hand. Still on his horse, Edmonds is galloping wildly toward left while fixing a bead on something in the sky. Suddenly, the horse under Edmonds disappears as he extends his entire body and catches a fly ball that just comes into camera view. (I loved hearing Jo Buck announce emphatically "Edmonds….on his horse!!....")Still in slow motion, he slides across the turf and holds his gloved right hand off of the ground until he comes to a dirt scattering halt. He gets of the ground and flicks the ball out of the glove hand into his left hand and slowly jogs toward the dugout. Your screen fades to black. The words MLB is written in big, bold white letters. That would be for baseball, like advertising the season is about to start. Another one involving my favorite team would go like this: Keep in mind with this idea you need to think about how with today's technology they have the ability to splice video from different periods and make things appear very fluid. THE VIDEO: Using real game footage, the commercial opens up with Musial at the plate and he takes a pitch deep in the gap. As Musial rounds first base he "morphs" into Lou Brock who is hustling to get to 2nd base. As Brock touches 2nd base he turns into Ozzie Smith who is busting his hump to get to 3rd base and as he turns the corner to go home Ozzie turns into Pujols who, as he approaches home, slides and barely beats the throw to be safe. THE AUDIO (and I think this is the key): Jack Buck calls this make-believe inside-the-park HR call the entire way, from beginning to end. And after Pujols is called safe, they add in Jack's famous line, "I don't believe what I just saw!" The commercial ends with the "Play Like a Cardinal" slogan. So how would you commercialize your player?
