I think that you are confusing Suppan with Marquis. The Brewers have actually done pretty well against Marquis.
  2. PrimetimeHater
Really? Maybe I just laughed at it because I thought he was so lousy in the movie. I really thought the whole movie was pretty goofy, although maybe that was the intention in some parts.

Did anyone else laugh at the last line of King Kong from Jack Black? Was it supposed to be that corny?

I'd just like to take a second to point out that my alma mater is still #1 in the BA poll. w00t!

Are you serious keds? Just scanning Sheets game logs, the last time he gave up 8 ER's before that bad Colorado start was on August 13 of 2003 against the Phillies.
  6. PrimetimeHater
That was really impressive, that was some ace material stuff right there. Come on Turnbow...no heart attack moments from you please.
  7. PrimetimeHater
I think the most encouraging thing about that list is that the Reds and Astros have zero people on that, while the Cards and Pirates only have one each.
  8. PrimetimeHater
Man...this game will be humiliating to lose. Maybe LaRussa has told Suppan to walk some people, then throw up some meatballs to Lee and Jenkins.

I guess the old Rick sHelling was on the mound tonight. At least Ohka has done well against the Phillies in his career... a 4-2 record 2.50 era from 02-04. Hasn't faced them in their crazy homerun stadium yet though.

I have to say that Corey has really put my mind more at ease lately about him becoming a quality MLB player. I was really worried about his power, but this homerun puts him up to 15 on the season. Of course Prince is unstoppable, if he gets slightly warm he'll be in second place for homeruns. I also didn't realize until today that Hart was second in steals in the PCL.

The bullpen just got a day off, I doubt that putting one guy in for an inning is going to kill the pen. I don't really understand how this will give the pitchers anything to shoot for. Do they usually not want to throw good games? Now, since Cappy and Sheets did it...they think, hey why not. I personally don't see why pitching a complete game would give someone more confidence than throwing 8 solid innings. Well...I guess all of that was pointless...Cappy's out.
  12. PrimetimeHater
Why? The only thing that matters is a win. He has 111 pitches after 8, I think that's enough.
  13. PrimetimeHater
I hope they have Cappy on a very short leash this inning. Hopefully he'll pitch the rest of this inning and Turnbow can come in for the 9th.
  14. PrimetimeHater
Alright...that was just flat out HILARIOUS. Man...that was good.
  15. PrimetimeHater
I guess because the bullpen was used a lot during the Cards series? That's my best guess....the loss doesn't even upset me...I'm just sick and tired of Bottalico in the bullpen.
  16. PrimetimeHater
I think Bottalico must have voodoo dolls. He's pitching terribly...Adams and Bennett go to the DL. Watch your backs Stetter and Davis.
  17. PrimetimeHater
I guess the bullpen is pretty shot right now, that's the reason he left Ohka in. Can't Kane Davis come up and replace Blowtallico? I mean...come on, who didn't see Adam Dunn getting a hit there.
  18. PrimetimeHater
This just in...Jenkins is still on fire.
  19. PrimetimeHater
Might get to see Justin Lehr's first appearance.
  20. PrimetimeHater
Another blackout for me on the MLB package, of course it wasn't such a bad thing yesterday to be blacked out. Suppan usually does pretty well against the Crew it seems, hopefully that trend will stop.
  21. PrimetimeHater
For anyone that has TimeWarner cable, they are having a free promotional viewing of the MLB package for a couple more days, and this game is on it tonight.
  22. PrimetimeHater
Didn't get to see this game on Gameday...pretty glad I didn't I guess. I think some bullpen changes will be made at the all star break. There are definitely some people who have been floundering as of late, and some people in AAA who have been dominant.
  23. PrimetimeHater
Man...when is Sheets going to start acting like an ace? I mean, at some point, doesn't he have to throw a complete game shutout with 20 strikeouts?
  24. PrimetimeHater
Man...this sucks to be the first team ever to blow a 6 run lead!
  25. PrimetimeHater
So the bullpen sucked it up today. Obviously Yost doesn't trust DLR. How about sending him down to AAA and bringing up Kane Davis. The bullpen seems pretty worn out right now. This loss sucks...but you guys do realize we won the series right? Wait...DLR's out of options, isn't he....scratch that previous thought.
