  1. Oh man is this game going to be ugly for the Brew Crew.
  2. My God...this is depressing. How do you get shut out by some bum pitcher like this?! If they don't get a bat in there to drive in some runs, this team is going down the crapper in a hurry. Prepare for a long rest of the season folks. It's about to get ugly.
  3. His high school is Trimble Tech colby.
  4. I think basically the only knock you can put on Corey is his K:BB ratio. I'm not really too worried about his defense...I imagine he has a good arm because he played third at one point. Hard to complain about the walks at the moment, because you can't walk when you're getting a lot of hits, but it will help when he eventually slumps. Anyways...when these pitching promotions eventually happen...I hope they cut some of these bum reliever and starters at AAA.
  5. Doesn't look like we'll be getting Josh Brady from Texas Tech. texastech.collegesports.c...04aaa.html
  6. Can we not find anybody better than Liefer? Indy needs him more than the MLB team does. It's times like these I miss a player like Lorretta.
  7. I like Kolb's picture on the mlb.com gameday thing. He looks like he just drank a six pack of beer, and is saying "bring it."
  8. Not pitching well when he has a lead has always been a knock on Sheets. He seems to be doing better about it this year, hopefully the trend will continue, and he'll string several more shutout innings this game.
  9. The Brew Crew is going to lose 2 out of 3.
  10. I think the explanation is simple...my reverse psychology prediction is working! Maybe I should start using that more often. But I think it's pretty clear....they don't want to disappoint the PTH.
  11. That sucks, but I feel the same way about Jones right now as I did about Parra when he first came back. I don't care if he gets ripped at first, as long as he stays healthy.
  12. Toby...please don't call Mississippi State UMiss. UMiss is Ole Miss...which is of course....my fierce rival.
  13. The brewers are going to get swept by the Angels....that's my prediction.
  14. 4-2 now....Stars still down. Sarfate gives up a solo shot. How do you pronounce Sarfate by the way....I think I've heard the announcer say a couple of different things.
  15. The most recent comparison I have read from a writer was Shane Reynolds. Reynolds threw around that same velocity, and I'm guessing the guy was talking about what numbers he thinks Hendrickson could put up....because he did say he reminds him of Reynolds in his prime. So, not quite sure why he said Reynolds, because Reynolds best pitch wasn't his curve. Anyways...just thought I'd bring that up...I know I'd be very pleased if Hendrickson turned out to be like him.
  16. Clancy, are you bipolar by any chance?
  17. Alright...I have no idea why this offense is so anemic. I know that Pods and Jenkins are in slumps...but come on...their seems to be some guys with decent power, and people who can draw a walk. You would think they would break out at least once in a while....this is getting pretty ridiculous...I hope the Brew Crew is not about to crash and burn, but I wouldn't be surprised.
  18. Wow...another impressive performance by Sarfate. Hopefully he's on track now....could be a heck of a prospect.
  19. This is so horribly frustrating...our pitching is doing well, and the offense is AWFUL. How about some run production here. Seems like they're struggling to put anything at all on the board the last couple of weeks.
  20. Our pitching has been impressive as of late....that Pittsburgh team has a lot of people that are dangerous in that lineup. Kolb's ERA is microscopic....there are going to be some teams wanting him at the deadline. Bennett has really turned it around, he looks like a steal again. Oh...and just in case anyone cares...the last time Kolb gave up a run was the second game of the season, on April 6th.
  21. I am glad I decided to sit down and watch the whole game. This is one of the best performances that I've ever seen. He made the Braves lefty's look like idiots the whole time. The homer he gave up just carried out, I thought it was going to get caught.
  22. Give Ramirez his props...pitched a very good game....so did Santos. Brewers had some opportunities to score, didn't do it, that happens. Ugly game for the Brewers...but at least the Brewers might have found a better person than Obermueller or Kinney. Might have a good pitcher and 3 decent ones when Caps comes back.
  23. Good God, you people are whiners. Other teams have it just as rough, if the farm system wasn't so good in the first place, it wouldn't hurt to see these great prospects go down. Parra is back, Diggins and Bruso will be back soon, Krynzel will be back before the season is over. The injuries that scare me are the ones like Jones and Ballouli, arm soreness could turn out to be anything. At least we know what Hardy's injury is...and they are going to fix it. He is a 21 year old who was showing that he can hold his own in AAA, barring any more setbacks, he'll still be in the big show very soon.
  24. Speaking of Jones...is there any word on him? I know he was out with elbow soreness...but anything new on him?
  25. If this continues, then yes...maybe consider it abuse...but come on. Even after this start, he'll have about an average of a 100 pitches per start or so...I would hardly call that abuse.
