  1. I just feel really negative about this series...I hate interleague play first of all. Second of all...we're going to get creamed. I just don't even feel like I have any motivation to keep up with anything Brewer related except for the draft tomorrow and Rickie coming up after the All star break. I think it's all of these wasted pitching performances that are killing me. The Brewers finally have a good rotation 1-4 and the only person they can hit for is the awful 5th starter.
  2. Crud...oh well...I guess if I lived with the Brewers not taking Sowers I can live with someone else.
  3. I'm definitely rooting for Zimmerman to get drafted...maybe I'll get my wish this year for once. Plays good defense, good speed, good plate discipline. I'm not really that worried about his power...he could probably hit 15 or 20 dingers in a major league season if he made it.
  4. I think we're somehow going to win this one. I don't know why...just have a crazy feeling we'll upset them.
  5. If Miller had gotten the job done?? No fault to Carlos Lee?? He popped up weakly both times he was needed. The whole offense stunk it up this game, and this should have been a win. Oh well...off to face a very good San Diego team...at least we have pretty favorable pitching matchups there...aside from Peavy vs Obie.
  6. This was by far the most frustrating game the whole season for me. They should have put up at least 3 runs...probably 4 or 5. Thanks for blowing another gem by Cappy guys!!
  7. Weeks has doubled and walked so far in the game and has 2 RBI's. Fielder is having a monster game so far...a double and a homerun so far good for 6 RBI's.
  8. I'll be a much happier person when Moeller and Spivey are gone. What's wrong with Hall?
  9. Sheesh...did Spivey bet on us to lose?!!?
  10. I think Sheets will settle down and pitch a nice game, hopefully Spivey didn't screw us over too bad with his magical glovework. Is Weeks even worse with the glove than Spivey??
  11. Overbay's really been slumping...what an overrated bum.
  12. I guess he's praying for a double play.
  13. Is it just me or has Prince heated up around this time of year in the past? I remember people whining about him in draft chats both years, and then he would start heating up right after that. Maybe I'm just imagining this, but good luck to Prince. Prince is putting up those kinds of stats in the minors that the big time major league power hitters put up in their minor league stints, so this is getting me pretty excited.
  14. Does anyone else really hate interleague play?? I don't know why...I guess it's because I just can't stand AL style of play, but I would really like to just see interleague play eliminated.
  15. Did it really take this series for you to know who the better team was?
  16. Adams will do fine in the long run....assuming they can actually score some runs to give him save opportunities. He's a good pitcher...hell...our pitching this year has been great. I'm hoping one of the prospects in AAA will start tearing the cover off the ball, and come up to the big club and help out. This series was extremely depressing.
  17. Surprising...good signing...he seems like he could be a steal. The Texas Tech people were pretty positive he was coming back, so I'm sure this will come to them as a shock.
  18. Sheets leads the NL in K's and ERA now.
  19. Not sure if anyone posted about this earlier, but all of Prior's runs are earned now due to an official's scoring change. From rotoworld.com.... Following tonight's game against the Brewers, the official scorer changed a bunt to a single instead of a sacrifice, resulting in the four runs Mark Prior gave up becoming earned. Weak. Craig Counsell bunted following a leadoff double in the first inning. Brendan Harris made the play, but he overthrew the first baseman and the Brewers went on to score four runs in the inning. Because the runs are now considered earned, Prior's ERA jumped from 3.00 to 4.00. Jul. 7 - 12:56 am et
  20. Now, if you want to see some fans really freak out, just check out the MLB cubs message board after a Cubs loss. Their offense is terrible, they'll never win the division, they just got beat by the lowly Brewers. That's my favorite part about any win over the Cubs, just reading the game thread is one of the most entertaining things you can do.
  21. To be a Brewers fan...to get hope for a couple of days, then get kicked in the gut. We must all really hate ourselves to be fans of this team. Man...this sucks so bad...time for the downward spiral that we've all been dreading.
  22. I hate to be down on the team at the moment....I'm not really. But this Pirates team just seems too hot....and I don't think we have a snowballs chance in hell of winning this one.
  23. Man...what a bad day. But I guess the bad thing about doubleheaders is if your team is having a bad day, you get twice the suckage. I am really not looking forward to seeing Obie tomorrow. Come on...surprise me with Hendrickson!
  24. Sheesh....Bennett is awful....Coste is hitting .291 at AAA...maybe he could hit 225 or so? come on!
