  1. How many of Doug Davis' leads did Ben Ford blow earlier in the season? At least 2 for sure, probably more. Let's see him blow one for Glover. I DO NOT LIKE YOU MR. BEN FORD.
  2. I'd hang this loss on our defense, over our bullpen. Jabba the Helms had his nightly error that cost us 2 runs and Jenkins made a poor play later in the game that cost us another run. Mike Adams should never have been in the position to give up the dinger.
  3. I just got back from the game too. I parked near the McDonald's/IHOP in the Village of West Milwaukee. I paid $0.00 for parking, took a 9 minute walk to the ball park, and I was on I-94 headed back to Madison in no time when the game was over. In addition to the ridiculous Wes Obermueller pinch hit, why didn't Jenkins pinch hit for Magruder in the 7th (or maybe it was 8th) when the game was still in reach? I know Magruder was 2 for 3 at that point in the game, but come on!! Nice crowd. I guessed 42k when the game started and it turned out to be just over 40k. The paint job on the bobble heads were kinda crappy. Additionally, I have an extra white Jim Gantner bobble I want to trade for a Gorman Thomas one. Check my post in the trading post section.
  4. I attended the Beloit game as well. I was one of the lucky 500 to walk away with a bobble head. I want to comment on one thing: "Some terrible calls tonight as I can count 4 times where Snappers batters were called out by check swings that "went to far around". That normally doesn't bother me having a bad call like that but each time were in critical positions. Two were in the bottom of the 8th with runners on 2nd and 3rd. Plus the one on Heether was so bad that Adam's bat hardly moved off his shoulder...it was just a twitch." I am pretty sure for all 3 of those, the punchout was made by the field umpire on appeal. However, the field ump was standing behind the pitcher when the call was made, with no vantage point whatsoever of whether or not the batter went around. We left a little bit early. I listened to the radio broadcast on the ride home. The radio commentators were all over Don Money asking whether or not he was even there for the game. Money was not coaching 3rd base, nor did he come out for any pitching changes. The commentators were all over Robbie Deevers as well, remarking how bad he is pressing right now.
  5. FWIW, Helms' homer was #1 on Sportscenter's Top 10. Wowee.
  6. If this game is anything like the last 3 or 4, the Brewers will not score another run the rest of the game.
  7. 2-0 Huntsville after 1/2 inning.
  8. When was the last time the Brewers were 2 games over .500? It has to be more than 2+ years. They can reach that mark with a win today.
  9. must...have...Brad... Nelson... Mavericks... bobble... head. I'm definitely going to get Brad's Snappers bobble head on the 3rd, but I may have a harder time getting this one. I'm curious to how much it will go on Ebay. The Snappy Patriotic bobble head is going for the $35.00 range, and Prince's went for $45.00+. Time well tell to see how much coin I have to drop.
