  1. Pauly Shore is Dead is nothing like Pauly's other movies. It really is funny. There are loads of cameos in the movie. The best is Gerardo, of Rico Suave fame.
  2. I agree with the move. Gwynn can cover more ground in the outfield, and is an excellent option to pinch run. Gabe just isn't getting enough playing time up here to expect him to perform well in a pinch hitting role.
  3. I'm sure you were polite with the usher. However, the 19 or 20 people before you probably were not so polite with the same usher. They got fed up with it, and took it out on you. It happens. Let it sliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide.
  4. To be honest, I've never seen that. I've been to 6 games this year, and the crowd has applauded every time a pitcher has sacrificed a guy over. On the wave topic, the wave should never be started prior to the 5th inning. EVER.
  5. The Snappers Matt Garza I sold went for $74.13, so $100 for Prince is not far off-base at all.
  6. I know I've seen the roster online before, but I just can't seem to find it now. I know LeRoy Butler is in the game. Can anyone point out the roster?
  7. I don't know how I missed this thread. Growing up, I loved Tradewinds pizza. It was paper thin and delicious. The sausage and mushroom was the best. They were like $2.00 apiece. My favorite used to be Jack's Canadian Bacon. The crust was great and the canadian bacon was awesome. However, I have found the most delicious pizza ever. California Pizza Kitchen's BBQ Chicken Pizza. I kick myself for not going to CPK and getting a fresh one when I was out in L.A. for work. (Isn't there a CPK in the Milwaukee area now?) The CPK frozen pizzas are around $5 apiece if you go to Sam's Club. I can't really describe the BBQ Chicken other than perfect.
  8. Every time I've showed up for a Snappers bobble giveaway at noon, I've been fine. I showed up at noon for the Garza, but then left and went to Culver's because there were so few cars in the lot. I got back in line around 12:20 and I was probably number 250 or so. I suggest getting there at least by noon for Cirillo. Much earlier for the Prince one. Just a heads up, if you are coming from the north, I think the Shopiere Road exit is still closed. You'll have to take the main Beloit exit and work your way through town. Don't worry, you only see the nice parts of Beloit. When you get there, you have to buy your tickets, and then get in line. The long line will be for people waiting to get in the gates, not to buy tickets. What to do? Talk to the people standing around you. Bring some playing cards. A buddy and I tried to get a euchre game going, but it was hard to do without a table. Let someone mentioned, it's a pretty laid back atmosphere. After going to a bunch of these, you will see lots of familiar faces. I'll be at the Prince game with at least 25 friends. However, I don't think anyone, including me, will be getting a bobblehead. My wife is throwing me a 30th birthday party at the game. The picnic lunch starts at 12:30. I told my wife I'll probably miss out on the party because I won't want to lose my spot in line. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  9. I recently discovered that Hawing and I went to the same college. UW-Superior of all places. I went to Superior because, well to be perfectly honest, they accepted me. I'm not dumb, I just never tried in high school. I think I did homework once during my 4 years of high school. I majored in criminal justice. I got my bachelor's degree in 3 1/2 years, with no summer school. My parents were about zero help financially, so I was putting myself through. It was a benefit that my folks were so poor because I received a large amount of grants. However, I still had my share of loans, so I was taking anywhere between 18-20 credits per semester towards the end to finish early. I still had to work to pay my rent. I had lots of jobs, including every college student's worst fear: Cafeteria boy. Good thing I was dating my soon to be wife during college because cafeteria boy is everyone's friend, but no girl wants to date cafeteria boy. I also had the easiest job in the world, weight room attendant. I also was a campus tour guide (always made sure to show off the picture of Arnold Schwarzenegger on the UWS gymnastics team), a manager at the hockey arena, and I worked for my advisor. Hey Mon! I gotta go to work.
  10. Have you tried Nicotrel? Chris Parnell will swear by it. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif http://aegmaha.com/9482cd74d/thumbs/b/2007031113422052566.JPG
  11. By far the best I have ever seen with my own eyes was GOTMILF. He was involved in a traffic accident on Monona Drive. I wanted K PASA for mine, but that was taken. I had to settle for QUE PSA. I think I'm the only guy in the state with UW-Superior license plates.
  12. How can you hate Mike and Mike? IMHO, that's easily the best sports talk show on the air. Yeah, Greenberg is a weenie, but he and Golic have great chemistry.
  13. I recall seeing a bobblehead of a former Japanese Brewers player on Ebay years back. I don't know why it popped in my head today, but it did. I can't remember if it was Mac Suzuki or Takahito Nomura. Does anyone know? Does anyone have it?
  14. I'm not sure what's worse: Who's Now or the gameshow they used to run on Sportscenter with Kenny Mayne. I think the gameshow was like the Newlywed game with teammates. Anyone else notice ESPN ripped off FSN's Final Score menu on the side of the screen?
  15. It's early, but I plan on going. I will be dragging my daughter along with me, so I should have an extra. I need a Woodchucks Gorman. If I get an extra Gantner, I'll definitely trade you. How early do the gates open in Wausau? What time should I get there to guarantee a bobblehead?
  16. Read the article. Sherri Martel is linked to Kevin Sullivan professionally. Kevin was the booker in WCW for years. There is no indication that Kevin Sullivan has anything to do with Sherri Martel or Nancy Benoit's death.
  17. I can't believe how rare the Garza bobbles are. I got one extra from Sunday's game. Since I still need a bunch of other bobbles from this year, I dropped it on Ebay in hopes of padding my Paypal account so I can get the others I need. So far, there are only 2 Garza bobbleheads on Ebay, including mine.
  18. A couple missing from the list: 2007: Wisconsin Woodchucks Gorman Thomas Wisconsin Woodchucks Jim Gantner I don't have a Photobucket account, so I'll have to email someone the photos I have. I have all of the Beloit's except the '02 Don Money and Snappy, and the '03 Prince.
  19. Is territorial rights something new in the past 10 years? Like I mentioned, at one time the Snappers had teams competing in the county directly to the south (Rockford Cubbies in Winnebago County, IL) and north (Madison Muskies in Dane County.)
  20. Huh? At one time, weren't there Midwest League teams in Madison, Beloit, and Rockford all at the same time? Please explain.
  21. I like Benoit the wrestler, but Chris Benoit the person makes me sick. 2 innocent people dead, among them a 7-year old boy. His own son, allegedly murdered by his own hands. He may have been mentally ill at the time, but that doesn't bring his family back. RIP Nancy and Daniel Benoit.
  22. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer has confirmed it. I've never felt sick to my stomach over anything in wrestling until now. This is sad. For those who do not know, Benoit missed last night's PPV due to family reasons. It was last minute, and he flew home. It was initially thought he was flying to Calgary for the death of his friend Biff Wellington. I have a bad feeling on what may have occurred, but it's improper to speculate.
