It's really a compilation of something like 6 short stories. A couple of them are awesome and the rest are meh. It's book 1 of a whole series so unto itself it doesn't make a whole lot of sense but I'm guessing it acts as background for the rest of the series. I bought the 2nd one but never started it.

what do you think it would take? two second round picks?

Looks like McLaurin wants out of Washington too.

FWIW, Grinding the Mocks has Zyon McCollum as pick 130

The Dumb Starbucks episode is an all timer. Anybody watching Severance on Apple TV? It's a slow burn but after episode 3 or so it really picks up. We love it.

Bad news: We were unable to honeymoon due to Covid. Good news: We've now saved up a ton of money to take a honeymoon. What best vacation spot in the world? Bali? New Zealand? Argentina? Madagascar?

Watson seems to be blowing up. Fine with him or Olave

I've really gotten into Sci Fi the last few years: Ready Player One was a lot of fun Also enjoyed Ender's Game, Neuromancer, and Hyperion. Hyperion was a bit of a slow grind. I finished up Dune right after Christmas and followed that up with Caves of Steel. I loved Dune but I don't think I want to continue reading the series, Last book I finished was Project Hail Mary which was very science heavy but entertaining. Switched it up and started reading some Raymond Chandler noir recently.

For me its his hands. I would love a frame by frame comparison. There was a weird loop the last year or so. The one on the right (new one) his hands appear to be higher but that could just be that he's further along in the swing.
-
I didn't realize his elbow was so messed up last year. According to the article in The Athletic, he gained something like 10-15 degrees of flexion since last year. that's a lot of bend.

Foo Fighters drummer. Just 50 years old

it's the swing and miss part of his game that needs to improve. even though he did ok at AAA he was still swinging and missing a ton which means his OK stats won't translate to OK at the big league level.
-
It's nice he's off to a hot start but he had a 935 OPS last spring. His swing did look better to me but I'd have to see one from last year to say if there's a difference.

Is there a way to tag another poster so they know to check something out inside a thread or post? so let's say I want Hawing to see a post...can I put some kind of hashtag or something in my post that tells her to take a look at what I've posted? I have a specific reason for doing this in the minor league forum.
-
yeah was this guy reading the one blog we had for the last 16 years?

Daily Minor League Reports on The New Site
homer replied to Jim Goulart's topic in Brewers Minor League Talk
Mass, would love to help out but new site is not accessible for me on work computer. I'm only on my phone so Link Reports would take me forever. I'm hopeful @damuelle and a few others can assist! -
Excel question (or...where can I find Whiff% by Pitch Type)
homer replied to homer's topic in Off-Topic Forum
thanks for the suggestions. I got it to work but in retrospect I think I was making it more difficult than it had to be. I went to the data tab, selected Get Data and chose my CSV. then it takes you through a sort of wizard and you can exclude columns from importing, add columns, formulas, sort etc before you even bring the data into your spreadsheet so that's what I did and it worked out great. Now when my CSV file updates on the front end, everything auto updates in the spreadsheet which is what I wanted. I think a vlookup would have done the same thing. In the beginning I thought I was going to have to use data from two different databases so I think that's why I went the route I did. I like excel but I am a design guy so I don't get into it too often. Part of the reason I tried this out is because I think it'd be useful for some work projects. Yeah I do dorky stuff like this on the weekends. -
