  1. How have your tips been during the pandemic? We've been tipping way more than usual for deliveries.
  2. It's a huge issue. Google "fake unemployment claims" and there seems to be a news story from every state in the union.
  3. Sorry, had to :
  4. Who said anything about Cain returning yet? Did he jump the line and get vaccinated? Seems pretty presumptuous to assume Cain will be around this year. It would shock me, actually, if he is anywhere near Arizona in the next month. Are they allowing players to opt out this year? I will be optimistic (like the thread title) and say that no one will opt out!
  5. He doesn't need range at 1st and won't have to make throws. That will mask a lot of his liabilities.
  6. I only looked at 2018 so take it with a grain of salt but it showed that 2 of his long outs would have been HRs at Miller Park.
  7. Looks like Hiura's error split is 12 fielding vs 10 throwing for his career. Maybe he's only a -10 first baseman instead of a -15 second baseman. He seems like one of those dudes where even if he didn't get an error he had plenty of balls he gloved but didn't throw or balls he simply couldn't get to that should have been outs. I'm sure there's an advanced defensive metric for that...if not let's call it the "Yuniesky Betancourt Factor"
  8. I really don't know to be honest. He was an MVP level player the previous two seasons but Yelich has not been consistently great throughout his career. OK but you do think he'll hit better than last year right? Same with Hiura. And the Brewers get Cain back. So unless you think they needed to replace all those guys then the offense should be better just by returning to the mean - even if those guys don't all hit to their ceiling.
  9. It absolutely does but the lineup needs to score a lot more than it did last season and Wong does nothing to improve the offense. So you think Yelich will repeat his 2020 numbers next season?
  10. Defense up the middle matters a great deal. And odds are that Yelich and Hiura go back to pre-2020 on offense. Plus Cain is back. So as long as Wong isn't Henry Blanco with the bat he'll be fine.
  11. I'll be curious to see how the park factors differ between St. Louis and Milwaukee. If I had time I'd look up Wong's "wall scrapers" simply because I like the name of that stat.
  12. Speaking of dishes....now that I've been working from home for a year I really HATE doing dishes....every day....every day.
  13. too bad about Carlson's injury. I liked what I saw of him early in the year.
  14. the football season was played during the height of the pandemic too. case counts are hopefully going to be much different come April.
  15. They need to re-sign Robinson which I imagine they would if they got Watson.
  16. Danny Davis is returning. Madison Cone is transferring.
  17. Who held this role before her?
  18. Report that Detroit is dealing Stafford to the Rams for Goff, 2 first rounders, and a 3rd rounder
  19. And the Bucks are down 4 at the half.
  20. I don't follow the draft as close as some around here but it feels like the Cards draft a lot of guys with high floors....at least with the bat/glove. Is that accurate?
  21. I don't know what Holliday's splits were during only his time at Coors but his last season there he had a 997 OPS at home and 892 on the road. He was just a great hitter. Am I expecting Arenado to have a sub 800 OPS? No. But I don't expect him to be over 900 either.
  22. Badgers got a 2022 commit from Franklin, WI QB Myles Burkett today. True dual-threat guy (runs a 4.6 40yard). I think his recruitment would have picked up had he played a full season last year but Covid cut it to 5 games. Hopefully, he can encourage some of the talented in-state guys from the 2022 class to commit to Wisconsin.
  23. Again, his home-road splits are pretty severe. He's good away from home but he is nowhere near elite. Even in his best offensive year his road OPS was 866 which is really, really good but not out of this world like he's been at home. He's an upgrade for St Louis and his defense is awesome but I don't see this as a one sided deal in favor of the Cards.
  24. I'd like to see Stafford on the Colts. I'm worried SF will make a play for Watson.
  25. .793 OPS away from Coors for his career.
