  1. Hard to say for me since I wasn't around for Hank. All I know is the Braves left when Hank was here and the Bucks may have if not for Giannis. Obviously not apples to apples but I'll throw it out for argument's sake.
  2. I knew Quero had been hitting the ball well but he has a 954 OPS in June...and that's before tonights game. edit: I guess the 954 OPS included last night's game. They are fast over there at MiLB
  3. looked like Vaughn said something to Bauers. tipping pitches?
  4. People seem to like Kel'El Ware.
  5. Yeah drafting for ceiling when they needed floor was bad. Giannis turned into kind of a goober the last 18 months but probably because the front office continually pissed him off.
  6. Giannis is a top 50 - 75 all-time NBA player. He can't win a title on his own, but you can probably count on one hand the number of players who could.
  7. I bet the Bucks think getting a local kid is a PR boost. Badger fans hate him and MU fans don't care about him.
  8. Dodgers game thread from two days ago (the team won. Ohtani was pitching):
  9. They'll get Waldrep back in a few weeks although he is kind of an unproven commodity. I'm very curious to see if Schwellenbach comes back this year.
  10. Not sure I'd be comfortable with a rookie as #1 CB
  11. Since this post, Pete Crow Armstrong has a 1.194 OPS. I am going to stop posting about Pete Crow Armstrong.
  12. The oil industry has been raising alarms about supply for a few weeks. From June 4th: https://www.politico.com/news/2026/06/04/oil-price-spike-white-house-hormuz-00949435 There was another article today in the WSJ but it's paywalled. Here is all I could cut and paste: https://www.wsj.com/business/energy-oil/oil-executives-are-sounding-the-alarm-over-dwindling-stockpiles-ad0f6928,
  13. The Brewers are also building a playground and beer garden outside the stadium that is free to the public on game days.
  14. the parking lot is never full and I think it's something like 30% of people who attend games actually tailgate.
  15. It's essentially a 60 day cease fire from what I've read.
  16. I think they'll keep Made in AA to help with the playoff push.
  17. Regarding Fischer....his K% is still north of 30%. Obviously, slugging 600+ and walking a lot mitigates that if it continues, but wondering if there is a current MLB player comp who K'd a ton in the minors with prodigious power who ended up a successful major leaguer? I looked at Schwarber, but he really didn't K too much in his limited time in the minors. Brent Rooker is pretty close. He had K% of 29 in A+ ball and 34, 30 in two AAA seasons respectively. James Wood is another one. He had K% of 33.7% in AA @sveumrules looking in your direction.
  18. The other minor league gurus know more than I do, but it's not as simple as "this guy deserves it". There are only so many roster spots on each team and each move requires a corresponding move at the level above. If they move 5 guys from the T-Rats to Biloxi, they have to move 5 guys from Biloxi to either AAA or back to A+ or trade them or release them. A lot of moving parts. And Biloxi has some guys putting together really nice seasons - Darrien Miller, Blake Burke, Dylan O'Rae, and of course, Jesus Made. You could add Matthew Wood as well. It's a nice problem to have but it adds to the complexity of promotions. If Lara gets promoted to the MLB team, that might undo the logjam and kickstart things. Obviously something's got to give at some point.
  19. I'll allow it. But I draw the line at Avengers: Endgame.
  20. oof...lotta dudes with opinions
