  1. Remember when Jorge de la Rosa was like 21 and pitching for the Brewers? He and Wes Obermueller were the future.
  2. If you had used that word to refer to Miley back in March I would have assumed we were about 50-90. Ha! No kidding
  3. They are 5 - 5 in their last ten. They might be cooling down a bit.
  4. Here is a list of Free Agent pitchers: Madison Bumgarner (29) — $12MM club option with a $1.5MM buyout Trevor Cahill (31) Carlos Carrasco (32) — $9.75MM club option with a $662,500 buyout Bartolo Colon (46) Patrick Corbin (29) Marco Estrada (35) Nathan Eovaldi (29) Doug Fister (35) — $4.5MM club option with a $500K buyout Jaime Garcia (32) Gio Gonzalez (33) Miguel Gonzalez (35) Cole Hamels (35) — $20MM club option with a $6MM buyout Jason Hammel (36) — $12MM mutual option with a $2MM buyout J.A. Happ (36) Matt Harvey (30) Jeremy Hellickson (32) Derek Holland (32) Hisashi Iwakuma (35) Clayton Kershaw (31) — can opt out of remaining two years, $65MM Dallas Keuchel (31) Francisco Liriano (35) Jordan Lyles (28) — $3.5MM club option with a $250K buyout Lance Lynn (32) Matt Moore (30) — $10MM club option with a $750K buyout Charlie Morton (35) Wily Peralta (30) — $3MM club option with a $25K buyout Martin Perez (28) — $7.5MM club option with a $750K buyout Drew Pomeranz (30) David Price (33) — can opt out of remaining four years and $127MM Garrett Richards (31) Tyson Ross (32) Hyun-Jin Ryu (32) CC Sabathia (38) Chris Sale (30) — $15MM club option with a $1MM buyout Anibal Sanchez (35) Ervin Santana (36) — $14MM club option with a $1MM buyout Hector Santiago (31) James Shields (37) — $16MM club option with a $2MM buyout Chris Tillman (31) Josh Tomlin (34) Adam Wainwright (37) Not all that awe inspiring but maybe a guy like Corbin could work depending on years/money although I think someone is going to overpay for him. Ryu has been good but injured. Wouldn't want him for more than a year + option.
  5. I have been to several Brewers/Cubs games at MP and never really had a problem. I'm curious where people sit that are having issues. I'm usually on the Loge level.
  6. Realistically they've got two years of prime Mack left before his inevitable decline (maybe three but that's pushing it). So they're saying that they can win a SB within the next two or three years? I'm not seeing it. Particularly after giving up all those high draft picks.
  7. I mean it's kind of jerk thing to say but I don't see how this affects the Brewers players. If this gets under their skin they aren't very well equipped mentally to play pro ball. I'm guessing Cole thinks Milwaukee is like 500 miles from Chicago. He never struck me as that bright.
  8. If you go on Twitter, the same moron writer thinks this was said on purpose. What purpose I am not sure...to upset the Brewer players?
  9. Meh. That writer was a little too excited to write that article, IMO. I don't think Hamels said anything too crazy.
  10. Brewers really need Aguilar to get back on track in Sept. He's only hitting like .229 post all star break. Good start for him today.
  11. The Cubs play in a city that has literally over 6x the times the population of Milwaukee and is only 90 minutes away (less for people on the far north side). This is not embarrassing it's geography. In my opinion, it's embarrassing. Then buy a ticket and go to the game.
