  1. For those scoring at home (and I know you are), in his last 6 games including today, Christian Yelich is 12 for 28 with 4 HRs
  2. He confers with Murphy all the time. But, does Murphy share his true opinions with him, or is he a yes man? I don't know. I am willing to be they sometimes disagree on things.
  3. Yes and I think that's what they are hoping for. But even with Mack is the Bears D as good as those two defenses? Front 7 maybe but I don't think in the backfield.
  4. I don't see how Mack takes them from a last place predicted finish in the division to Super Bowl contenders. They are putting a lot of faith in Trubisky to develop in a hurry.
  5. D Line is missing Laudermilk, they played vanilla the whole game (almost no blitzing). WR missing Davis. TE weak? I thought Ferguson was pretty good. UW almost always starts out slow for whatever reason. They'll be fine come Big Ten opener.
  6. They release their numbers publicly every year. They are profitable. "On Monday, the organization reported $34.1 million in profit from operations and $38.6 million in net income for the fiscal year that ended March 31."
  7. he followed up to say they were also looking at pitching.
  8. Ken Rosenthal says Brewers are active. Specifically mentions looking to get a left handed bat off bench. Theorizes Granderson as a possibility
  9. Good article about Yelich's aggressiveness early in the count. Something I'd noticed but didn't think was this drastic: https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/what-christian-yelich-has-changed/
  10. At this point even David Stearns is eating crow about Miley.
  11. Miley coming up big again today. Wonder how he'd have done in a full season?
  12. I think Shawn Green is a decent Yelich comp. Both tall and kind of lanky (although Yelich has a little more beef on him than Green). Both played RF, both hit from left side. Green was an all star and top ten MVP candidate in his age 26 season (which is where Yelich is now). Green started to tail off after his age 29 season. He was still good, but probably not worth whatever contract he was getting for the production (which was between 811 OPS and 832 from age 30 - 32.).
  13. Sometimes Mods have bad days too. I probably shouldn't have called you out publicly in that thread. Sometimes we do things to make a larger point to other posters so they know what is and is not appropriate and once in a while I hit the gas too hard. I need to be better in that regard.
  14. Yelich's line post all-star break: .372/.413/.776 Is that good?
  15. Then what is this.......... It's snarky, it's unnecessary, it's not constructive, it's negatively repetitive in both substance and behavior, it literally fits every single criteria set forth in this thread with regard to what will not be tolerated. I understand, and applaud, what the MODs are trying to do here but in my opinion it's wrong to call out a specific poster publicly but let others ride. That cuts against the very grain of what you're trying to accomplish. For the record, I have no problem with either of the posts above or the people who made them. Just my .02 cents. To adambr's point above, if you remove the quotes around offended and leave out the last sentence that is a much better response. Most of the issue comes from escalation and little changes in posts can make all the difference in the world in that regard. But to your point, 82brewcrew82 the difference, IMO, is that the one post was in direct response to another poster and the other one was a general statement more or less. It could have been worded differently though. Again, this stuff is subjective and we do our best but there's a big swath of gray area to traverse. It's rarely cut and dried.
