  1. They're not my only assessment tool. Clutch hitting starts with hitting safely in high pressure situations. You can look beyond that one metric all you want. In situations where his team was behind, Shaw failed to hit safely in 8 out of 10 at bats. That's terrible. And when it’s tied, or a RISP w/ two outs? Those aren’t clutch situations? You literally picked out two stats of the entire bunch to make a point. It’s just such a crappy way to make a point. I think you have each made your points. Time to move on.
  2. I think he just doesn't want to give up the whole farm to get pitching. There'd be nothing left if they traded Burnes, Peralta, and Hiura That's where the inability to develop home-grown guys like Wily Peralta, Jungmann, Jorge Lopez, and the like has really burned them. All guys with terrific stuff and potential, but flamed out for whatever reason. Right and I think Stearns understands that the Brewers need to develop pitching rather than get free agents. Hence his desire to keep Burnes and Peralta.

  4. 6th Rd pick per Ian Rappoport I think Packers really like Boyle's potential.
  5. I don't really think this is all that productive either though. Throughout the course of the season fans are going to be happy, angry, frustrated and pretty much any other adjective you can come up with. Trying to stifle the anger and frustration can lead to "boil over" posts that might not happen had fans been allowed to vent over the course of a frustrating week or two. Plus, what's the fun of baseball if you don't have well timed DFA *insert player here* posts? Just my $.02. I agree. It's a fine line and a bit subjective as to when something is too negative or repetitive.
  6. They flipped Lenzy Pipkins for a guy that will actually play.
  7. http://www.brewerfan.net/images/store/dailylinkreport.jpg Organizational Scoreboard including starting pitcher info, game times, MiLB TV links, and box scores *** Links for affiliate audio *** Media notes, standings, and sortable stat pages *** The entire local TV Timber Rattlers broadcast schedule
  8. If the Packers are going to trade picks, I'd rather they do it for an OT. Their backups are putrid. Also, I like Reggie Gilbert's potential. He can get shoved around occasionally but he has got some speed off the edge.
  9. Busy trading Pipkins for that scrub Colts LB. that "scrub" was not a fit for a 4-3. He works well as a 1st down MLB for GB. That's a very shrewd move by BG.
  10. Brian still owns the site, and I believe still lurks from time to time, but he isn't really involved on any sort of day-to-day basis anymore. Yes, we are all very fortunate he and others had the initiative to start this site and keep it going after all these years. Is this why there’s no front page site and stuff like that and only the forum? Yes, much to the chagrin of Shea Vucinich
  11. The front page was not being updated at all, and a couple years ago, the moderators made the call to remove it and have the brewerfan.net url direct straight to the forum. I don't think the lack of maintenance on the front page was due to any one person. I miss that other stuff. I mean I totally get it, you guys have lives too and aren't under any obligation. It was all just really good stuff, the prospect reports, the Power 50, the references for contracts, transactions, options and other good information. There is still a TON of great daily content in the Minor League Forum. MassHaas is up posting at 4:30am on many days. I don't know how he does it.
