    Maybe ROY is like the Heisman where you need a big Sept game to get noticed. Except in baseball you probably need a couple of big weeks in April/May

    I would like to see some evidence for that. My hunch is that it doesn't matter. FWIW, a few projection systems were very close to Willy's numbers this year: ZiPS proj - 250/328/465 actual #s to date: 253/336/471

    18 - 8 since Aug 1 which has gained them exactly 1/2 game in the standings :) They are in the thick of the wild card race now though.

    That was the completion of a game that was postponed the day before. I think they only threw 4 pitches before the rain kicked in so Semien led off the game with a new pitcher but a 2 - 2 count. They played a second full game that evening and drew 11K.
