Yes he keeps getting minor league deals because it's low risk with potentially high reward. Like signing a left handed bullpen guy that throws 100mph but his K: BB is like 1:1. You hope they figure it out at some point. But there's also a point where the guy gets ample opportunity and can't figure it out.
He got a minor league deal in the offseason and then Detroit released him. I'm sure all the MLB teams have access to his AAA stats and tape to determine whether or not he can hit in the bigs. Hopefully he turns it around but based on lack of interest, MLB teams are skeptical.
Hit Man on Netflix was enjoyable. Glenn Powell is quite likable and shows a bit of range playing several "characters". It was refreshing watching a 90-minute, traditional 3-act structure film. Made it a wee bit predictable but that was ok.
