  1. 2004 #1 pick Matt Bush is being converted into a pitcher. It's been a strange ride for Matt. I wonder if the pressure of being a #1 pick had a bearing on his performance: www.baseballamerica.com/blog/prospects/?p=338
  2. The guy is a dink. Sometimes confrontation is difficult but you did the right thing. People that park in handicap spots should be publicly humiliated.....unless they are handicapped of course.
  3. Cool. I like the monthly updates. Thanks guys.
  4. I'm just curious how often this will be updated throughout the season? Based on May alone, I see plenty of reason for movement up and down the list (and new additions as well).
  5. I can see why people think Brantley might develop power eventually - look at that Popeye forearm.
  6. Not to mention that Piniella won't be in attendance. It looks to me like this team is playing tight - hopefully they don't relax without Lou around to bark at them.
  7. Any thoughts/guesses as to the moves the Brewers make after the draft? There are several guys that definitely deserve a bump up but the question is: who do they supplant? Talking specifically about Ford....he needs to be at Brevard. Unfortunately, Chuck Fermaint is starting to heat up and probably should stick around Florida for now. Could/should they exist on the same roster? Heck, you could say the same thing about Brantley/Gillespie. I suppose the Brewers could promote Errecart to H'Ville and put Brantley at 1B, but seeing as he's just 20 they may keep him in WV for a while. Thoughts??
  8. Since I can't go, I'd appreciate an In Game Thread.
  9. I think you could put Billy with a group of Tibetian monks, call it Smashing Pumpkins, and it would still be awesome.
  10. I know it's been said before, but it bears repeating: That West Virginia team is an offensive juggernaut. I think they are first or second in team AVG, SLG, OBP, OBP and SB. Crazy.
  11. Didn't see this posted. Lineup for today: Hart Hardy Braun Fielder Estrada Hall Mench Graffy Suppan EDIT: Actually, it was posted - nice guess!!
  12. re: Knocked Up It's currently getting a 92% approval rating at Rotten Tomatoes. www.rottentomatoes.com/m/knocked_up/ By way of comparison, Borat got a 91%. I think I'll enjoy it.
  13. drool......mmmmmm......drool
  14. Inman is at 67ish innings. Yo was promoted at 77. I agree that they'll probably promote him around the same time - i.e. two more starts. The Brewers always make a lot of mid season promotions/demotions right after the draft which is next week.
  15. I disagree. I thought Yankee Stadium would have much more character but I think they ruined much of that with the renovation in the mid 70's. Fenway much more closely resembles the original stadium.
  16. What?
  17. I had no idea Michael Finley signed this type of deal. According to this, he makes the 7th most in the NBA (19th among all athletes) - including salary and endorsements. sportsillustrated.cnn.com/more/specials/fortunate50/2007/index.2.html
  18. I still can't believe the Brewers got Villanueva for Franklin.
  19. Done. Man that avatar was years ago. I can't believe you remember that.
  20. Well don't get me wrong, Kobe is kind of gross and I wouldn't let him near my daughter (if I had one) but I think despicable should be reserved for more heinous offenses than adultery. Just my opinion. I think there are few people that would consider Thomas Jefferson or FDR despicable.
  21. I can't wait to see Knocked Up. I will like it just to spite you, Kat. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif (and also because 90 minutes of Katherine Heigl is worth $7.50 even if the movie sucks)
  22. Sweet! They were a guilty pleasure when I was in high school.
  23. If Kobe is 'despicable' than so is Bill Clinton, Dwight Eisenhower, Franklin Roosevelt, and Thomas Jefferson. All had mistresses/lovers outside wedlock.
  24. That's really cool you did that, Pogo. Thanks.
  25. kpanz, I didn't say I agreed with your language (I don't), but I thought TC needed to know his response could have been worded differently - especially since he's a mod.
