  1. Not so sure about that - different count, different pitch - not necessarily the same result.
  2. Man, Suppan has just owned the Brewers the last three years. 8-1, with a 2.48 ERA 1.13WHiP 42K's 17BB
  3. You guys should be patient with Weeks and Fielder. I think both will have big second halves - like Hardy last year. I don't think they'll be swinging at those sliders in the dirt or the fastballs at their eyes in a few months.
  4. Wow, great start for the Manatees. Chuck goes yard, Irribarren hitting like he's back in the AZL and Mike Jones seemingly picking up where he left off. Great game to follow so far. If Jones can do anything of note this year, I'll be estatic. I'd more or less written him off.
  5. Taguchi hit a decent pitch, but the ones to Pujols and Edmonds were right down mainstreet. It looked like he wanted to go inside on Edmonds but just missed.
  6. View from inside new Busch: http://espn.go.com/photo/2006/0410/mlb_sg_nbusch_275.jpg
  7. I ran into that homer ump (Ron Kulpa) after a Brewer game several years ago. He's a jackass. He rang up Sexson three times purposely widening the strike zone because Sexson "is a big jerk"....his words, not mine. I questioned his integrity and he started laughing at me. Then he left Rosie's with two trampy looking women.
  8. Buck mentioned the home plate ump is from St Louis.....it's looking like it based on a few of those non-strike calls.
  9. I'm watching on MLB extra innings. The park is pretty impressive from the inside.....nice view of the Arch and downtown beyond the outfield. In any case, it's heads and tails above the old stadium. EDIT: Does anyone remember the other stadiums that the Brewers have opened? Miller Park, Sky Dome.....any others?
  10. Jamie, I believe those are yesterday's lineups - Fielder is hitting .278 I think and Miller is starting at C.
  11. Wow. Odd to think a thread I posted in was mentioned on ESPN news. Granted, the guy probably just looked at the title and ran with it, but still.......nice job everyone.

  13. Any idea what the attendence is today?
  14. Donnie Darko has turned into kind of a cult classic among sci fi fans. It's about a kid (Donnie, played by Jake Gyllenhaal) who struggles with visions of a demonic rabbit (yes, I said demonic rabbit) that coerces him into destructive behavior. I don't want to give away too much so I'll just say that the ending is one of those that makes you want to watch the movie all over again. Good indie flick.
  15. Yes, I am drunk. Thought you'd want to know.
  16. I remember when Russ Ortiz was good.
  17. Agreed. WV is going to be fun to follow this year.
  18. can you post a link to that fielder statement from jsonline? I can't find it. thanks
  19. OK, I just played the old closing theme to This Week in Baseball. I'm ready for the season......and I'm also a geek.
  20. You guys have inspired me. While I can't be at the game (working from home in Chicago), I went to the store and bought brats and kraut. I can at least pretend.
  21. I would love to hear the reason because I guarantee I've broken up with women for dumber reasons.
