  1. Jacobs was flat out bad last year. Injuries? Bad team? Bad coaching? I dunno.
  2. I disagree. And that's why I said a split would have been best since it would have eased the burden on Jones. I hope they make another move to get someone to complement Jacobs.
  3. Jacobs is a big downgrade from Jones. Splitting time would have been ideal.
  4. I mean come on:
  5. Yeah. I am hoping there is more to this but short of signing Barkley (who is signing with Philly) I am not seeing it right now.
  6. Jones is getting released?????
  7. Jacobs was pretty bad last year but he was on a bad offense with a horrible QB. Maybe MLF will scheme better.
  8. I am not a math guy but I am guessing the published projections are the mean. The teams probably get variances with a likelihood for guys to hit X percentile.
  9. opposing fanbases are REALLY gonna hate PatBev and Bobby come playoff time.
  10. Yeah he was really bad at shotgun snaps. The ball just floated back there. But like you said...was out of necessity. He is probably a guard at next level.
  11. I think Bortolini helped himself out today.
  12. haven't the Packers had some pretty high picks that they never interviewed?
  13. FWIW here are the innings projections from one of the major projection systems (ATC) for likely/potential starters:
  14. Guerendo ran a 4.33. Dang.
  15. I don't know what Hader has to do with this but fine just hang onto Contreras then instead of extending him. It becomes moot if Quero has a great year this year. Great problem to have!
  16. Quero's ceiling offensively is probably where Contreras is now. I think I'd rather just extend Contreras. If William was 29 or something then maybe not but he just turned 26 in December. Although if Quero has a monster year this year then I might change my tune. Good problem to have!
  17. They do have trackers in the ball but I think it's used more to determine speed, how far the ball traveled, etc. But doesn't seem that big a leap to use it for spotting the ball. A tracking system is installed in every NFL venue which is composed of: 20–30 ultra-wide band receivers 2–3 radio-frequency identification (RFID) tags installed into the players’ shoulder pads RFID tags on officials, pylons, sticks, chains, and in the ball https://operations.nfl.com/gameday/technology/nfl-next-gen-stats/#:~:text=A tracking system is installed,chains%2C and in the ball
  18. Peralta's is pretty reasonable. Ashby might be lucky to clear 100 innings.
  19. I think most projection systems have him right around 100. CBS has some weird ones every now and then.
  20. Saw a crazy projection for DL Hall - 164 IP, 224 Ks. I don't think he comes close to that but if he did I'd do a cartwheel...maybe two.
  21. Well that was fun. Back to Counsell taking a job with the Cubs...
  22. You are not a mod. Stop derailing this thread. FYI - I am a mod in case that wasn't clear.
