I disagree. And that's why I said a split would have been best since it would have eased the burden on Jones. I hope they make another move to get someone to complement Jacobs.

Jacobs is a big downgrade from Jones. Splitting time would have been ideal.

Jacobs was pretty bad last year but he was on a bad offense with a horrible QB. Maybe MLF will scheme better.

I am not a math guy but I am guessing the published projections are the mean. The teams probably get variances with a likelihood for guys to hit X percentile.

Yeah he was really bad at shotgun snaps. The ball just floated back there. But like you said...was out of necessity. He is probably a guard at next level.

I don't know what Hader has to do with this but fine just hang onto Contreras then instead of extending him. It becomes moot if Quero has a great year this year. Great problem to have!

Quero's ceiling offensively is probably where Contreras is now. I think I'd rather just extend Contreras. If William was 29 or something then maybe not but he just turned 26 in December. Although if Quero has a monster year this year then I might change my tune. Good problem to have!

They do have trackers in the ball but I think it's used more to determine speed, how far the ball traveled, etc. But doesn't seem that big a leap to use it for spotting the ball. Peralta's is pretty reasonable. Ashby might be lucky to clear 100 innings.

I think most projection systems have him right around 100. CBS has some weird ones every now and then.

Saw a crazy projection for DL Hall - 164 IP, 224 Ks. I don't think he comes close to that but if he did I'd do a cartwheel...maybe two.
