  1. Madbad, What kind of ceiling do you think he has? Would Corey Koskie numbers be asking too much? He's doing really well in a pitcher's league. It will be interesting to see what the former Dirtbag does in AA.
  2. Congrats, Scoop! I hope you named her Robin or JJ.
  3. The fact that Jim Callis from BA checks out THIS site to refresh his memory on FA rules is a testament to it's quality.
  4. HV, From what I've heard recently from Doug Melvin, you'll probably get to enjoy them all season (barring injuries at levels above them).
  5. Brad Nelson 2-2 with a double and a dinger.
  6. Sid Hartman's a self-rightous hack. Consider him a poor man's Peter Gammons but with half the writing acumen.
  7. Good God this board flips flops more than a certain presidential candidate. 24 hours ago it was wild card talk, now it's 15 games under .500. I think I'll abstain from the game/venting threads until September.
  8. Mikerollins is my favorite poster.
  9. You won't catch hell from me, Ry Dogg.
  10. Eek. I posted this in the second inning. I meant four more hits - not four total.
  11. over under on Brewer hits the rest of the game is 4.
  12. Ho hum. Corey Hart with a double, Nelson Cruz with a Home Run.
  13. During the pre-game they play that clip of Uecker making a home run call. It was a walk off three run dinger where he goes, "It hit the pole! It hit the pole!" Anybody know which game that's from?
  14. When I am this drunk Haiku is so difficult You can all bite me.
  15. D-Back Mossy Cade It was his aunt by marriage 'Innocent!' I cry.
  16. My favorite dude was Julio Machado now he's servin' time
  17. the worst thread ever was during the election good bye politics
  18. In game haiku tough! Takes too long to boo Ned Yost Feel much shame, Brian
  19. Can a haiku rhyme? Or is that some kind of crime? like killing a mime?
  20. Haiku requires brain Brewer fans are really smart Cubs fans can't do this
  21. Oh sweet Miller Lite You make me cheer like a spaz I bless and curse you
  22. DHonks, Do you ever get over to see any of the AZ games?
  23. I was at the game as well. That contest had a little bit of everything. I didn't read through the game thread but the one thing that really PO'd me was Davis failing to back up that throw to home. I mean they teach you that in little league. What's he doing standing in the batter's box? Other than that this one is chalked up to bullpen implosion and stellar Pittsburgh D. Redman stole two base hits, Wilson another, and Bay made a fantastic (turns out game saving) catch at the wall. Anyway, I am comforted slightly by the fact that the team seems to be hitting and was able to claw back into a position to win in the ninth. I just hope the pitching we saw today is not indicative of what we'll see in the second half.
  24. Granted, I was at a bar and not paying 100% attention, but the hits Ohka was giving up in the sixth weren't exactly rockets were they? Seemed more like ground balls and dying quails....am I wrong about that? Rick White is my favorite pitcher ever. I think his era against the Crew is like 12.00
