    It's not utterly ridiculous given what Clayton has done recently . He's something like 12 for his last 27 (10 for his last 19) and he had a clutch hit with two outs yesterday. I think Hall should play too, but it's not something we should get all charged up about.

    Hopefully, the fact that Hall is hitting will cause them to think twice about keeping Clayton. Maybe some chump team will trade for Clayton before the end of the month (fat chance but you never know) I think that's why EY was playing over Ginter for so long - they had to showcase him in order to trade him.

    Let me re-phrase my post. I'd like to have Brady start as well, but I can understand the logic. Conti gunned out the tying run at the plate so it was a good move in retrospect (at the end of eight innings anyway).     Conti bats left and Padilla is a rightie. With Vandy hurting it makes sense, although I wouldn't mind seeing Brooks get a start in right and see what he can do with four or five at bats.

    From all the scouting reports I've read, he was the closest to major league ready of anyone drafted. If that's the case then 2006 isn't asking too much.
