  1. I've wondered how long his wrist held him back. He was never really the same after that, and seemed to wear down quickly. I've heard bits of anecdotal evidence suggesting that some wrist injuries take a long time to heal. He did pretty well last season, which could mean he's finally recovered fully...or it could just mean he was in his 3rd year of AAA. Either way, I'm still excited to see how he does.
  2. Ha! I thought I was the only one. Last August, I started telling people he might deserve some MVP votes if he kept hitting through the end of the season. He didn't, but still had an excellent season. I was surprised there were so many people against bringing him back.
  3. If anybody is ever in St. Cloud, MN, I highly recommend Bravo Burrito.
  4. Don't know him, but I was actively looking for Charlie Bell after he tweeted a picture from his seats behind home plate.
  5. ^^ And Sunday night for ESPN.
  6. http://www.brewerfan.net/...er50PlayerTrackerList.do Saenz was 38th at the time of his call-up, but Spurling wasn't ever on the list.
  7. Didn't he lose a ton of velocity after 2004? I don't remember if there was an injury, but it really hurt him then, and it looks like he's lost a couple MPH so far this season. Maybe he just needs to get back in shape.

  9. I don't see a huge difference, to be honest. Still hotter than Bob Brainerd thoguh.
  10. I've been searching for this post. I'm glad I found it.
  11. If there is one thing I miss about Ned, it is the dirt kicking and his 360 swear move.
  12. I had the same thought during Sunday's game. Kolb went through a huge drop in velocity when he flamed out, though. Wasn't he throwing close to 100mph when he first joined? IIRC, he was down to low 90s by the time we traded him.
  13. Suppan improved over his poor start to the season and his season performance moved toward his career averages, how shocking. If those two starts weren't at the start of the season, we probably wouldn't have even noticed how horrible he was for more than a day or two. Gagne has shown us that the Brewers are not afraid to remove a high-salary player from the spot he was originally signed to fill, so if there are better options, they will play.
  14. Why is Bill still whining about Tatis' non-bunt? It wouldn't have mattered anyway.
  15. gotcha, I didn't notice who was posting (and thus realize that you guys aren't in WI). I actually was getting the "program not available in your area" message in Madison at first, but that may have been my receiver acting goofy.
  16. ...game just came back on DirecTV. Is there a reason you guys were assuming it would be blacked out? It shouldn't be, as far as I can tell.
  17. If they support your bank & all of your credit accounts, mint.com is awesome.
  18. Maybe we should think about converting him to the outfield now. The Cardinals lost all of those years with Rick Ankiel, we can't make the same mistake!
  19. MLB Network is showing the game right now. Not sure how much of it they're going to show, since its their "live look-in" show, but its better than nothing. Also, does the Bucks game video look really choppy for anyone else?
  20. So, is it time to start listing this year's player theme songs? I must say I'm disappointed that Corey Hart is no longer the son of a 3rd generation farmer.
  21. I put on 1180 on the way to the stadium on opening day, and it was just the robot voice saying "tune in to this station for Miller Park traffi c information" on repeat, with no actual info. It was only after I changed over to 620 when I was informed that I had just wasted the lasthour sitting in traffic, and that the stadium lots were sold out.
  22. Some of the comments, like "The pitching mounds at Greer are being upgraded to standard," made me laugh. Looks much better, though.
  23. Since Cain is starting the season on the DL, I wonder if they're just putting him in AA temporarily, and plan on moving him up once he's 100%? That seems to be the plan with Gillespie at Brevard County, as far as I can tell. Not sure who you would remove from the Nashville roster, but you never know who might get injured or perform poorly.
  24. My debit card has an option to use it as a credit card. You hit cancel instead of entering your PIN and it withdraws the money from your account at the end of the month instead of right now. That's weird. I always use mine as a credit card (my bank charges fees if I use it as a debit card more too often), and it always withdraws within a couple of days, usually the same day. Either way, you still have to have the money in your account or it will get declined.
  25. Most banks have an option to download transactions as a CSV or Quicken/MS Money file, might be worth checking into. How would a check card have this effect? You have to have money in your account before you can use it. and one more edit... This is a case where balancing your checkbook instead of checking online periodically would cause problems, right? If you relied on what you wrote down, you would probably assume that there was no bank error not in your favor, assume that you have an extra $100 in your account, and eventually overdraw. More or less, it bugs me when people keep the same data in two different databases. Unless you're constantly syncing the two, you're going to run into problems. If you don't absolutely need it in two separate places, it should be avoided.
