  1. Respert had an unfair disadvantage, since he had cancer while he was with the Bucks. But yeah, I get the idea.
  2. Is this the Jeff Bennett edition, or do all hats come with massive, flat brims nowadays?
  3. Redd actually does defend pretty well now, unfortunately he wasn't around long enough this season for anybody to notice. He's a nice enough player to have, just makes too much money.
  4. I think its the same reason John Madden stuck around for so long: the networks are playing a prank on us.
  5. I submit "Better Than Wiggington". And a song for Mat, to the tune of Dean Martin's Volare: Mat Gamellll....whoaaaaaa Mat Gamellll....whoaaaaaa He surfs into the sun And he's better than Todd Dunn (you see, he went to the same high school as Todd Dunn!)
  6. Wow, that's bad if true. Was that the '99 season (after which, Nilsson temporarily retired)? Crash2303 - wow, I did the same thing just last week, and came up with almost the exact same team. I think I had another reliever (Breslow maybe?) in place of Sheffield, and someone else for Sheets, since he's not playing ATM.
  7. I still wish we would have given Chris Coste a shot instead of Gary the Glove.
  8. Oooh, I'll feel quite flattered.
  9. Well, my user profile has a link to my website, which has my full name and a map to my house, if anybody really cares.
  10. And I'm sure Happy "I think most people are jealous of me" Youngster is enjoying the attention.
  11. You like balls, I don't really care about that. It seems silly to me, but I'm sure you would find a lot of my hobbies to be silly. Dressing up as a fan of the other team is just weird though...I'm completely serious when I ask, are you actually a Brewer fan, or are you just a fan of the baseballs? Yes, I think you did ask for too much. I would have felt bad asking for just Chris Coghlan's bat. Asking for Ramirez' bat is way over the top, and seems incredibly rude to me. I don't blame Coghlan one bit for being irritated with you, I would have been too.
  12. Generally, previous generation RAM is a lot more expensive for some reason. Since most stuff now is DDR2, DDR (likely what you need, unless you use RDRAM, which is even worse) is kind of pricey. Keep an eye open at http://outlet.dell.com too, they occasionally have some really good deals. Most (but not all, be sure to check) USB hard drives have an external power supply, so power shouldn't be an issue.
  13. You just named all of my favorites (plus I, Jedi). Some of the others were ok, but those are all good.
  14. Hall was a lot worse defensively at SS and 3B at that point in his career too. I'd imagine he would be pretty decent now.
  15. 652 on DirecTV in Madison is dead. If anybody can explain why, I'd like to know. They've had most previous WMLW games on that channel.
  16. I've never caught one either, but I'd imagine that catching someone's first home run, shaking his hand and congratulating him, and swapping it for a signed ball would be even more memorable.
  17. This whole board suddenly becomes useless if Wes Helms ever creates an account! Or Ben Hendrickson's dad... I read his side of the story in his blog update about the ordeal. My opinion of him hasn't changed. Coghlan and the Marlins were irritated with him, and rightfully so.
  18. Oooh, hopefully this one will have more highlights than just Jefferson Darcy getting hit in the head with a baseball.
  19. Gallardo also pitched 87 innings in AAA the year he had 110, so thats 197 total. I don't think the level in which his innings occurred matter much, at least when looking at stamina.
  20. I can't really argue with their selections, so I'll say this: Artie Moreno looks like "Weekend at" Bernie.
  21. I'm actually a little surprised we didn't sign Jenkins. Maybe he still thinks he can get a guaranteed major league deal.
  22. Its at pretty much every grocery store I've been to in Madison. I like it.
  23. It makes sense that most teams should do well with runners in scoring position and the bases loaded. Bases generally don't become loaded against quality pitching.
  24. I can't imagine it being anything more than a coincidence, but maybe smarter people than I can come up with some stats showing that there is something to what he's saying. But IMO the only way a pitcher can be credited or blamed for run support is through their own hitting.
