  1. Once again Will Ferrell is right. Ya gotta keep your composure.
  2. Hoffy, ever think Mike Maddux had more than his fare share to say about things. If you are going to blast Ned you better include Maddux.
  3. this is why neddys contract should not of been extended. Glad you are not making the decision.
  4. JDLR time? Hmmm...take out a lefty who has trouble with walks to put in, what's that, another lefty who has trouble with walks.
  5. Is anyone actually watching the game? Watching the mlb gameday it shows a lot of Doug's pitches in the zone and called balls. Not sure how that works.
  6. No more predicting sweeps against teams like many a poster here did. Very bad Karma. It is good to think positive, but you can't jinx things. Baseball fans should no better than that.
  7. Got to Rosenblatt late and missed Prince's Grand Slam. They pitched around him a lot the rest of the day until the ninth. Zuniga hit a monster shot to Left. They tossed lefties up there most of the day which really had Krynzel off balance. Krynzel still must be hurting because he is not running to hard. Barnwell had a nice day at the plate. Rapped one around the foul pole in left for a dinger and had solid contact on numerous occasions. Now mind you this is only three games, but Hart and Cruz imo, could not step in and produce nearly enough to warrant moving Lee or Jenkins in a trade. I would classify Hart has a good mistake hitter. I just base this on their approach and quality of their at bats. They each had their moments, but looked over-matched when presented with good breaking stuff. Especially from righties. The box scores may say different. I wish the AAA team was closer to Milwaukee to be able to check these guys out more often. Well there we, go my 3 games in hot Omaha. Prince is the real deal. Takes a nice approach. Took his walks for the most part and when given anything to hit he put a good swing on it. Wouldn't say anyone else is near the level he was. Prince is ready even though his average doesn't say so right now. I think we all knew that already. I hope and assume that Krynzel was still ailing from his foot injury. The other thing that was promising was that Omaha starts a bunch of guys 29 to 35 years old. Guys like Chris Truby, Denny Hocking, and others who have seen the majors. I the young sounds team showed they were clearly a better team. Hopefully, the can take the series with a win tomorrow.
  8. Just posted my report of last nights game in the 23rd's gamelink. I will be at most of the game trying to brave the 100+ heat here in Omaha. Have given up on the pictures.
  9. Well tried posting my report last night, but ezboard didn't let me. Fielder's AB's were solid. His HR was a no doubter way back in right field. His single should have been a double, but he hit too hard off the wall in right. He K'd on two good breaking balls, but overall looked good at the plate. Prince looked good many 1st base. Handled all the throws and a successful run down. Krynzel scorched a double to the gap in Right-Center, and scorched another ball right at the right fielder. Looked good at the plate for the most part. He K'd on high heat. Can't say Dave looked good in the field late in the game. He broke back on two balls allowing the to drop in front of him. He also got turned around going back on a liner. It was a tough play, but a good CF should have had it. Hart once again had trouble with off speed stuff from righties. His only hit shouldn't have been, the LF took two steps back before he realized it wasn't hit very hard. He did have a nice AB against Nance to draw a walk if memory serves. Hart DH'd. Cruz hasn't done much good or bad. He has taken some walks but really hasn't scorched the ball yet. He looks a tad off balance at the plate. He reminds me of a poor man's Vlad. Steve S. had hit the ball hard to all fields and done a nice job at shortstop. Housman got lit up like a pinball machine. All runs very earned. The game was still the Sounds to win until Jeff got into with the Homeplate umpire. After that he grooved a couple and the Royals went up 9-5. Mosquera his a blast to deep Left to make it 9-6. Then I was disappointed to see Steve. S pitch the bottom of 8. Only down three with Hart-Fielder-Cruz due up in the 9th. I know there are some injuries to the bullpen, but I didn't think waving the white flag was in order. Steve S. throw BP, and that was the game.
  10. It is suppose to be record highs in Omaha today. Tempature will probably be close to 100 at gametime. We'll see how the boys, and especially Housman, deal with it. Hope to see Prince play some first, but I know he is still ailing a bit. Does anyone have a link or information on the Royals top AAA prospects? (if someone could tell me how to put up pictures from a digital camera on to the site I could try to get some good ones)
  11. how did princes SB look? Oh yeah, I was going to mention that. He kind of stole it Carlos Lee style. Pitcher wasn't paying attention to him and he took off before the pitcher started for home. The catcher didn't have much of a chance and the throw was a little off line. Prince took off realized the pitcher had went home, stutter stepped a little then kept going. He got a good 1/2 second head start. He can move though scored from 2nd on a base hit.
  12. Just back from the 9-4 Sounds win over the Omaha Royals. I am not a scout by any means, but here where some things. Corey Hart didn't look good when thrown good off-speed stuff early in the game. He did crush a hanging 3-2 breaking ball deep over the fence in left-center for his 2-run HR. He had a good AB and drew a walk later in the game. He did just miss another homer late, but it was down off the end of the bat a bit. Prince had a big upper cut in his first two at bats and was popping a lot of balls up early on. His last two AB's were solid he sent a rocket back up the box for his only base hit. He also grounded out very sharply to 2nd. Seemed like he made some in-game adjustments. He DH'ed so no reports on his defense. Nelson Cruz doesn't get cheated with his swings. Had some good cuts, but not too much to show for it. Zuniga's homer was a routine fly ball that got pushed out by the wind. It was a 337 ft homer that barely scraped the 336 ft fence down the line in Left. Should have been robbed actually. I wasn't in the best position to watch Glover, Stetter, and Obie. It was hot real hot, and I felt for the starting pitchers. Glover was decent when he kept the ball down. Obie didn't have much problem getting the final outs. Defense all around was very solid. Rivera did a nice job blocking the plate turning away a Royals runner early in the game. The runner beat the ball by quite a bit, but he couldn't get around to the plate. Should have ran Rivera over, but didn't. Infield turned some nice DP's as well. The call that lead to Morris getting tossed was the correct call, and they had no right to argue it. In addition, for a minor league player to come storming out of the dugout is uncalled for. He got the heave-ho, and then stormed out. Whoever was coaching first also got tossed during the same instance. I mainly just watched Hart, Cruz, and Fielders' AB's. Little disappointed when Ryan Knox didn't run out a grounder hard that got bobbled, he could have made it a close play. Help: I have some pictures form the digital camera, but don't know how to upload them on to the post. They aren't the greatest, but I will be going tomorrow again. Will try to get some more if I can get them on the site.
  13. Not a big computer guy. Just use a proxy and no more blackout for you. 1) Is this legal? 2) How would one go about this?
  14. I live in apple-ton, and I can only watch them On demand about 2 hours after the game is over. It's a real bummer, not being able to watch them live. But, I sure enjoyed going back and watching Weeks homerun last night, without having to suffer through the game live. So, you couldn't get the game live on mlb.tv last night. I live in Green Bay so obviously I am in the black out area. What percentage of the games are blacked out? What was the reason last nights was blacked out?
  15. Does anyone know if the MLB.TV gets blacked out a lot? I don't have cable, but will have internet. Can you get all the Brewers games on mlb.tv? edit: By the way where is my Stat Pack? I need my Stat Pack.
  16. No Prince for Nashville? Is everything ok? Just a day off?
  17. They're rare...like leap years, good Pauly Shore movies, and Wes Helms' triples. There actually are leap years.
  18. Lets see if Davis can do his Houdini act. The game is total Deja Vous
  19. See, our 35-year old catcher can do it, why can't the two highest-paid players in our line-up, and our supposedly "star" 1B, do it? Miller had good protection behind him.
  20. gotta love Bill Hall. He's really sewn up that hole in his swing this year Does Butch get any credit for what Bill Hall has done this year? There we go a little positive thinking. Got the run back. Didn't strand hall. And they get to flip the batting order next inning.
  21. Ok. I am going to start with positive thoughts. Brewers will get that run back this inning.
  22. Well now we know what to expect this second half. The same has the first. Anyone have a quick stat reference on the league leaders in stranding runners?
  23. Marley, your lucky if you didn't here that first inning. Overbay, Lee how about some contact. Jenkins we know what your about.
