  1. As someone pointed out to me SlideBernieSlide is running a line on page 2 of this thread.
  2. Let's not forget that Jenks had a great day. 2 doubles and a couple very good plays in right. Jenks having a hot year behind Lee and Overbay is the best chance of a playoff spot for the Crew. I'll let Jim Mora, Sr. speak for me. Sound Bite
  3. What a great start to the season. However, I hope this isn't the highlight of the year. I does give you a tingle to hear a lot of the key players doing well.
  4. Is there a link to the Oakland Live Box Score anywhere?
  5. Sutton makes it sound like it is set in stone that Jose Cappy is a lock for the bullpen coming out of spring training. I knew this was rumored, but is this a for sure thing.
  6. Luis V. Ramirez Bats L Throws L Height 5'-0" Weight 100 Age, Dob 1, 1/1/04 Birthplace Unknown, Dominican Republic How Acquired Signed as a free agent on 02/07/05 I know signing these kids early is important but can's we wait until he is a little older to see how his secondary pitches develop. However, 5' 100 lb one year old is quite impressive.
  7. Indy loses game one 5-4 in 8 innings. Almost worked out of a 2 on 0 out jam, almost.
  8. Still 1-1 as Indy/Buffalo go to the top of the 12th. Coste K'ed with Durrington on 3rd to end the 11th. Mass- Just accessed sports network. Everything seems to be in working order from my computer. Bergeon with a 2-Run walk off HR in the 12th. After the Bisons took a 2-1 lead in the top of the 12th. Peter was 0-5 and pretty much 0 for June before the HR.
  9. Looks like a small cup of coffee has sparked Hart. What are his stats since he has went back down? Couple of Multi-hit games and some RBI's. AAA doesn't have an Allstar game do they. So, I wouldn't mind seeing Cory up after the MLB allstar break. Anyone get a first hand (or ear) view of Manny's outing. Stat lines don't look too bad. It is good to see Nelson back on track this year. It goes to show what that extra year in the minors can do. I am not too worried about Prince and Rickie. With the way Overbay/Ginter are holding down the fort there is no reason to rush these guys passed AAA next year.
  10. So much for the rest Scotty idea.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/glasses.gif Too bad it won't count because this game isn't go to get the 5th inning. At least the way Bob and Jim are talking. Anyone else get that feeling. Edit: Why don't we use the live chat more? Especially on game days.
  11. Looks like they are going to try to get it in. However, it doesn't sound very pleasant down there. In case of a rainout I think they would just scratch the game. And if need be (Brewers need a win to get in the playoffs http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eek.gif ) I assume the game would be made up in Montreal. Edit: Listening to Uecker and Powell joke about the attendance is pretty entertaining.
  12. For those who can't listen while they work. Mavs lead 4-2 in the fourth. Brewerfan.net just got pubbed.
  13. I don't know about anyone else, but I am going to be real interested in the Indy game and how the starting pitcher does.
  14. Then he doesn't, what are we going to do? Nothing. If he doesn't hit a streak, then they can't trade him, can't cut him, can't replace him, can't renogotiate. So, I guess the only thing you can do is sit and complain about the extension we gave him. I like to think that every game is the game Jenkins will start off his streak, and I will think that until the last week of the season. But that is just me and the Brewers will keep puttin' him in the 4 spot. The one thing he and Butch can do is keep working on refining the swing just like every hitter should do. Jenkins is a hitter, he will hit if healthy.
  15. It is amazing what you will do to avoid work. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  16. Nice to seeing the Brewers continue to stick around .500 without Jenkins and Pods slumping a bit. It will be nice when these to get into a grove. Everyone knows when Jenkins is hot he is red hot. 10 game winning streak last year was in most part to Jenkins hot streak. Then he gets hurt and the streak ends. It makes me feel more comfortable knowing that the Brewers can win once in awhile when its two best hitters (history wise) aren't hitting all that well.
  17. The Columbus audio link is working nicely. Still can't get the Indy feed. Columbus announcer sounds solid. I can give updates until 2:45. I am going to miss or butcher a lot of the Columbus names. Top of 1st Crosby lined out Bragg solid single Phillips flies out to warning track (Pedro balks Bragg to 2nd. Didn't come set.) Clean-up batter K Bottom 1 Knox - Walks Scarborough 6-4-3 Hart 1st pitch bouncer 5-3. 18. C Moeller Even with his recent slump I think the Kade door to the bigs needs to be kept open a crack.
  19. I know there will be a post game summary, but how did the Tribe score so many runs in one inning? I can't get either audio link to work.
  20. 33,000 come out last night. And I am sure a good crowd will be there tonight, and the Brewers reward all these fans. with (explicative) Matt Kinney. Caps have a healthy return, and if anyone else goes out for an extended period of time I better not see Matt Kinney on the mound again.
  21. Break out the SWEEP SUITS! Don't even joke about crap like that. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif At 18-16 going into a weekend series against the Braves should draw some nice crowds. Weather should cooperate some what. 60's and Sunny Sat. and Sun. I would like to go to another game with the roof open. If I am not mistaken only 1 game so far with The Keg tapped. That was "The Comeback Game".
  22. If Ford can't hold this lead he needs to be demoted immediately. He can't and he should. Edit to Reply to next Post: I don't think anyone is blaming Yost. Everyone would have did the same thing. You definitely want to go to your least important reliever. It just happens that it is Ford and he can't get anyone out. Time to try another option.
  23. Can I put in a request for more day games. It makes grading papers go by much faster.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/glasses.gif
  24. Man, I really hope SOMEONE goes to the games this week, We will once again add to the attendance total this week. Wife and I will go Wed. and Fri. I am losing track of how many this is games 12 & 13 I think. And if I could get 14 wings for $3 at the stadium I would go tonight, but I will be watching the game from Leff's. Where and when are the line-ups for the games posted? I always like to know who is going to be starting before I go. I was thinking of going tonight until someone mentioned Spivey is out a little longer. That means Great Waste Wes Filling will be starting 2nite http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/sick.gif
