  1. PM me if you are interested to hear how to fix your issue. BMuch, CPA, CMA
  2. I feel like you guys are being a little harsh on the situation. Billy Crystal did help create *61, which should help him gain access to the baseball community. If Uke signed a one day player contract would everyone be complaining similarly?
  3. The Bar (Lyndale location) has a bus that I took to the Oakland game. It was definitely worth the price and I would definitely ride again.
  4. As was mentioned earlier Legal Seafood is a nice, yet pricey restaurant option. My wife & I took the guided tour of the Freedom Trail. It was worth the price. I am a fan of aquariums, and the Boston (New England) Aquarium does not disappoint. Make sure you go all the way to the top of the large tank. We walked around Harvard, but that wasn't as cool as I had hoped. I made it to a Red Sox game. I did not make time to see the Boston Pops.
  5. I've read places that HGH can improve eyesight. I take prescribed prednisolone drops daily. This drug is a steriod which improves my eyesight.
  6. How about ScratchGolfingBrewerFan ChicksDigTheLongBall UnofficialSpringTrainingBrewerLiaison - insert Fall League instead of spring training if desired Donks - people would assume a reference to donkeys I guess.
  7. Within the past year I think that Russ displayed that the odds of scoring with a man on 1st with 0 outs was very similar to scoring with a man on 2nd with 1 out. I was wondering if Russ (or anyone else) could repost those probablities (along with the probabilites in other situations). Also, I'm wondering if those probablities could be grouped by pitcher ERA or another pitching statistic. Thanks
  8. Wow, Brian is increasing is net worth at a rate of about $3 per hour that he puts into this site. Jobs like that are hard to find. Congrats!
  9. I would recommend investopedia.com to learn about different terms. There are a number of stock picking games at different websites that can get you a feel for the market.
  10. A 17' motor boat is probably an ok size for you since you won't be spending a lot of time on Lake Winnebago or the Great Lakes. I took my wife, two daughters (ages 4 & 2), and my brother-in-law down to Menominee Park in Oshkosh by boat yesterday. Our family loves boating, so your boating life won't neccessarily be over once you're older and have a family.
  11. I have a 20' stern drive speed boat. An additional cost is Annual Maintenance. Winterizing our boat costs $175 or $250 every other year. On which lakes do you plan on driving a 17' speed boat? Have you heard that the best day in a man's life is the day he buys a boat? But, his second best day is the day he sells his boat.
  12. I have an Ace of Base CD. Try and make fun of THAT. About 4 months ago I was driving home channel surfing on the radio when Ace of Base came on. I was starting to reach for the seek button, when all of sudden I start to think of Brian and brewerfan. I listened to about 15 more seconds and realized I probably spend too much time on this site when Ace of Base now makes me think about the Brewers.
  13. Backup - You might recall that I own a CPA firm in town. I have the new employees read the employee manual that we developed. But the great thing is that I tell the new employee that they are in charge of updating/maintaining the handbook in Word. This way the employee really takes ownership and the time to understand the handbook. By the way the handbook I'm referring to details each client's procedures and preferences. negotiate delivery time frames Do you have scheduling software or a calendar so that you don't double book each of your services? I went to your website and noticed that the services (characters) do not have prices listed. Is this intentional? If the customers were better informed, would negotiating price/amount of time/amount of other product be easier for your employees and the customers to discuss?
  14. She just looks like another cookie-cutter bleach-blond bimbo to me. I don't get what the big deal is. Fame, Fortune, & lots of flair/glam.
  15. You do not pay any capital gains taxes on the sale of your first home no matter how much you make off of it. Capital gains taxes are applicable on all homes after that. Barbs - The tax law updates in 1997 changed the way capital gains on home sales are handled. Your statement is not true anymore.
  16. Quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Also, I can't imagine you've had your house for 5 years. If you buy a house and sell it before you've owned it for 5 years, you pay a capital gains tax. So this is even less you'll get for the house overall. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- That is incorrect in most cases. Quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When you sell your primary residence, you can make up to $250,000 in profit if you're a single owner, twice that if you're married, and not owe any capital gains taxes. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Also, if you have resided there for at least 2 of the five, you are not subject at all. Please disregard the false info Chio provided. The first part of primary residence sales was quoted correctly. Quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When you sell your primary residence, you can make up to $250,000 in profit if you're a single owner, twice that if you're married, and not owe any capital gains taxes. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- However, in order to qualify for these rules you need to have claimed the property as your primary residence for at least 2 of the past 5 years (730 days). These rules only matter if you have a gain on the sale of your house. If it is going to be a loss, then it doesn't matter if you wait for 2 years because there is no capital gains tax to avoid. By the way, losses on the sale of your primary residence are not deductible. Overall, the real estate market has been hurt by several factors. One not mentioned yet in this thread is that the # of foreclosures has risen dramatically the past few years, which has added to the glut of homes on the supply side.
  17. We used to play leasters, but have now switched to mosters, which usually penalizes the person who had the best hand and still did not pick.
  18. I nominate myself as the salary cap guru in 2025. Colby would be my staff selection. SoCal would be my nonstaff selection.
  19. Finally, the Packers finished 4-12 in 2005 and had a point differential of -46. If they had a positive point diff early, it probably didn't represent their true talent. I belive GB beat NO 52-3 or something like that to really skew the differential that year.
  20. Something happened overnight. Kate is really behind now. Lindsey Gerheim (Army) 30% Kate Sheaks (DePaul) 19% Katie Martin (Missouri State) 16% Caitlin Lowe (Arizona) 10% Kristina Hull (Georgia Tech) 8% Garland Cooper (Northwestern) 5% Dominique Lastrapes (Washington) 5% Jamie Reiss (Creighton) 4% Lindsay Schutzler (Tennessee) 3% Stephanie Brown (Notre Dame) 2%
  21. Thanks for the responses and the link to the other thread.
  22. I wanted to pm Brian the Automater, but couldn't figure out how to do it. Any help would be appreciated.
  23. Brian Just an FYI - When you click on the "Make a Contribution" link, the goal of the chest is listed at $0 and it states that $0 of contributions are still needed.
  24. I think Brian has to be very careful about his reevenue stream so as not to make his finances a legal liability... As long as the contributions to Brian are deemed gifts by both parties and the amount of the contribution is below $11,000, then there are not any income tax ramifications to either party. (ie. Brian is in the clear and does not need to claim this income. However, there are ways for him to claim the loss to offset his other income.)
  25. I'm not sure where to put this topic, but here it goes. Colby or anybody else in the know - Who would have been in charge of the drafts for the NY Mets when they drafted Kazmir, Milledge, Wright, & Reyes? In what rounds were some of they're young studs drafted? The angle I'm wondering about is how talented was Steve Phillips as a GM. Now I wouldn't want him to hand out free agent contracts or orchestrate any trades, but I wonder if he has skill as a talent evaluator.
