  1. As depressing as this loss was, and I'm sure it would have been much more depressing if I'd seen it, it only counts for one loss. If we win tomorrow we can forget about today and focus on the fact that we won 3 of 4 at Florida. I will agree that it is totally disgusting the way this team gets your hopes up and then goes down 28 times in a row. Seriously, how many times have the Brewers been victim of ridiculous strikeout totals? Maybe I don't notice when it happens to other teams but it seems like we're the worst.
  2. Just got back from Summerfest...what'd I miss? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif Glad I wasn't around to see this one. I had chalked this one up to a loss before the game but after we were up 3-0 and 4-1 I'm pretty disappointed that we didn't get the win. Gotta win tomorrow. From the sound of our defense tonight, we should have won. Can't end up splitting when we should have won the first three.
  3. Not to bring up yesterday's game again, but had we won we'd be a half game out of second place. Son of a.....! Still, great to win today. This was the type of game that the Brewers seem to lose 99 out of 100 times. I swear tonight's game was like a replay of past games @ Florida, only in the old games LoDuca doesn't drop the ball and Delgado doubles home the winning runs. Nice to be on the other side of some breaks for once.
  4. That was you? I thought that was really cool. You must have had a lot of dumb cubs fans giving you strange looks while you were holding it up. Way to represent!
  5. That's the cue for the pitching staff to pitch like crap. You know when the Brewers start hitting, the pitchers have to stop pitching well, right?
  6. We can't let up. The ball is flying out of the park today and the Brewers have a tendency to score a bunch of runs then do nothing the rest of the game. I'll be surprised if 5 runs wins it today.
  7. Holy crap! Hardy does something useful!
  8. Crap, Jenkins missing a HR by about 5 inches...at least he gets a double. Anyone wanna bet we don't get more than one run this inning?
  9. What kills me is that when we have two third basemen go down, we bring up crap like Magruder. A team like the Cubs would trade Remlinger for Joe Randa. Now I know we don't have the capability to add salary like the Cubs do, but we still have just as much to trade and in all honesty, giving up a guy like Bottalico or Phelps plus a go-nowhere prospect for a guy like Randa would be great (hypothetical example of course).
  10. I think half our lineup could get out hit by major league pitchers. Hardy, Durrington, Moeller, Magruder, etc. are outs waiting to happen. You let them swing with two strikes and the majority of the time something bad will happen. At least if they bunt there is the possibility of moving the runner(s) over.
  11. Can we admit, if not for just one day, that the main reason our team sucks is because the players aren't doing their jobs? Losses like Sunday, yesterday, and today have NOTHING to do with Yost. You can second guess his moves left and right, but when our guys are gettinng 3, 4, or 5 hits for the entire game, the big guy upstairs couldn't manage these guys to a winning record! Let's face it, as long as Overbay is slumping, our 5-9 part of the lineup is the worst in baseball. Jenkins sucks. Helms sucks. Moeller sucks. Hardy better get his ass back to Nashville. And our bench? Magruder, Durrington, a VERY inexperienced Fielder? It's amazing we're still within 7 games of .500. If it wasn't for our pitching staff we'd have the worst record in baseball, without a doubt.
  12. No, that's still Ned's fault. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif
  13. Wow, Wood out and Rusch in. Nice break for the Brewers. Then again, who am I kidding, Glendon will shut us down. Edit: Like I said!
  14. I agree Augie, but Hardy isn't doing squat for us right now.
  15. Let me start out by saying that I'm not a fan of Yost...however, how can you guys blame this game on Ned. Was it his fault that we could only manage 2 hits during the first 7 innings? Was it his fault that friggin' Durington can't get down a bunt? We were getting absolutely manhandled by Zambrano and then we get two on, no one out, and suddenly it's a bad move to try and get runners to second and third??? Forget the fact that Durrington blows and didn't do his job. If he does, we have second and third for a guy who is in the top 5 in the NL in singles. I could be wrong but I thought a single in that situation scores two...and if it weren't for a sensational catch by the second coming of Jose Hernandez it would have worked out perfectly. 9 times out of 10 I'll come on this board looking for Yost's head on a platter, but when you're blaming the game on Ned when we had 3 or 4 hits (I forget) the entire game and he plays for the tie in the 8th, then you're definitely reaching for something that isn't there.
  16. Another leadoff man on followed by a double play...I'll stand by it, we either get shut out tonight and lose 2-0 or we'll get a meaningless run in the ninth after Phelps or JDLR give up four more. BTW...Weeks was safe, that call sucked.
  17. The way Baker runs his pitcher's into the ground the only way we see the Cubs pen is if Zambrano hits the 150 pitch mark.
  18. I've never played baseball at a high level so it's easy for me to sit here and say what to do, but how the heck do you not know that Zambrano is gonna throw a slider with two strikes??? That pitch Miller swung at was so far outside it almost hit DD in the on deck circle. I've pretty much given up on this game...there's no way we're getting any offense tonight.
  19. Come on, you don't want to know what a rivalry is? LOL...I swear these questions are made up, or is it "kid's cast" again.
  20. Woo-hoo...we got a hit....countdown to GIDP...5, 4, 3...
  21. Wow, I thought it was 3-0 for sure.
  22. Anyone else starting to get a bad feeling that Zambrano is about to pitch a one hit shutout? Heck, the way he looks so far I'm hoping we get one hit.
  23. We should be throwing pitches to Lee that are nothing but low and away. If he swings fine, if not let him walk. Lee is as hot right now as Barry Bonds ever was and we wouldn't give Barry these same pitches to hit. Davis struck out Lee in the first and thought he could do it again the next time up. If you're gonna throw inside to Lee you better hit him cause otherwise it's gonna end up in the seats.
  24. WHY THE HELL DO WE KEEP PITCHING TO LEE?!?!?
