  1. Huge game today. Losing two of three to the worst road team in baseball would be horrible. Not to mention we'd fall back under .500 before a very difficult road trip. Go get 'um Crew!
  2. Umm guys, you might wanna start looking for that changeup with 2 strikes. I think almost all of the K's have come on the changeup so far.
  3. Will the Brewers ever get a hit in a situation with men on base where they can come from behind late in the game?
  4. I thought it was a good idea for Hardy to bunt in that situation given his struggles this year....HOWEVER, if Yost is afraid to swing away with JJ in the two-hole when we are down three runs he should not be hitting #2. PS- Nice for Jenkins to come through in the clutch. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif
  5. I'm afraid JJ hitting in the two-hole will mean a lot more double plays if Clark can get on ahead of him. I swear 75% of the time JJ makes contact its a weak grounder to short.
  6. Nice to see Jenkins starting to turn things around. And hey, we scored seven runs tonight! You know what that means....the bats will start to heat up and the pitching will go down in flames. Get ready for some more 8-7 losses!
  7. Now we can't even pitch. Never in a million years did I expect this year's team to look so awful this early. I hope they know what an absolute embarrasment they are to the city and fans.
  8. How is Wes Helms still in the majors? Someone please fill me in.
  9. I can only laugh at Schroeder talking about how the Brewers better get something going now because Lidge is looming in the bullpen. And what a surprise...Geoff Jenkins with a meaningless homerun! Great, now we'll only lose 6-3. The streak hits day 7....
  10. No, that's the reason why this franchise is where it is. Because the fan's don't demand a winner. We still trickle into the stadium no matter how bad it gets. Us fans have given this team so many chances to prove that things are going to get better and nothing happens. Until the team, the manager, the management, etc. get the message that us Brewer fans are not going to sit back and take this it will go on and on and on.
  11. Fans like you guys are a big part of the problem with this franchise. Every time the team or management serves us fans a heaping pile of steaming crap, you guys eat it up and ask for seconds. I swear some of you are so in love with the Brewers that you don't care if they ever win. You're just happy to watch baseball. I'll bet you have been saying the same things for the last 12 years. "It's still early, we're bound to turn things around," he says while the Brewers continue on pace for yet another horrible season. "It's ok, we still have all our great prospects and the future," says the management as they try to desperately to come up with a PR plan for 2007 when three quarters of the prospects don't pan out and we still suck. Year after year, it's the same crap. Every year since 2002 it's been "next year we'll start to see the farm system helping the big league club." Every year we look for something to build on and it never happens. Winning never happens. But it's ok, there's still tomorrow's game and rest assured we'll be back here talking about the same stuff! (PS- None of this is meant as a personal attack on the posters on this board, so moderators- don't freak out).
  12. Holy crap do these guys suck. This team is seriously close to letting this season slip right down the drain if they keep playing like this. We don't have any games against Pittsburgh or Colorado coming up in the near future to bail us out. All of the positives of the new owner, new season, new attitude, new players are headed right down the toilet because we look as bad as I can remember right now. And yes I know its early, small sample and all that crap. But if things don't get better soon we're gonna be 15 games under .500 by mid-May. And who knows when this losing streak will end, it won't tomorrow thats for sure.
  13. This one's over...clap-clap, clap-clap-clap. Although you could have said the same thing after the first two Houston hitters. When is this crap going to end?
  14. That was the first time I've missed Scott P this year since he would have been on second when Spivey got that hit.
  15. This ballgame wouldn't have been complete without that story by Brainerd. And what a perfect time in the game to give us a story we don't care about! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/alien.gif
  16. Bill "The Momentum Killer" Hall strikes again!
  17. With what offense? It sucks when you've given up 3 runs by the fifth inning and you can warm up the bus because there is no way the Brewers will get to 3.
  18. I think we're just very frustrated. For years we've been hearing about how the improvement is just a year away. Now we've started another year with a lot of promise and these guys look pitiful. Sure they're only a game under .500, but the way this last week went is only going to alienate more people from this franchise. What the hell is Carlos Lee looking at out there? Ditto for Jenkins. We gave up 11 runs in three games to the best hitting lineup in the NL and got swept. Same old Brewers. Anyone think we'll score more than 2 runs against Perez tomorrow? Not me.
  19. How come we just can't hit Suppan??? Ugh.
  20. This has a lot more to do with the Brewers' horrible offense than Suppan's stellar pitching. This is really frustrating to watch...when did Spivey get Jose Hernandez syndrome?
  21. LYLE! I thought Uecker jumped the gun again!
  22. Correct me if I'm wrong...but hasn't it been 5 games since our last hit with a runner in scoring position? I can't remember anything since last Friday vs. the Cubs. The more things change, the more they stay the same. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/sick.gif
  23. Gotta win today since (IMO) it would be a big setback to lose a series to the Pirates at home. Honestly, I don't see a big difference between this year's team and last year...but I'm hoping our guys can prove me wrong!
  24. If we have any intentions of finishing above .500 we are going to need to steal a heck of a lot more games from our opponents than we give away. As we all know, the Brewers have very little, if any margin for error. That's a luxury that teams like the Cubs, Cards, Astros, etc have since they can buy many more better players. Heck, one more blown save for the Cubs and they'll go out and trade for a top shelf closer. The Brewers have to sit tight and make due with what they have. That's why this loss was so tough to take. We MUST win games like today. Sure we got a little lucky on Friday, but in the grand scheme of things, we're going to need a lot of luck with the current roster to finish over .500.
  25. Not sure what game you were watching because this game was not that simple to analyze. "Some poor clutch hitting" doesn't even begin to describe it. Poor managing by Ned late in the game. Missed chance after missed chance. If we get just 3 hits with RISP we score about 10 runs today. People aren't trying to go overboard but today's game was about as bad as blowing a five-run lead in the ninth. How many innings did we have a serious chance to score? 8? 9? And we managed 5 runs....3 via the long ball.
