  1. Brewers FINALLY put it all together. Ohka pitches 7 great innings, we go 5-10 with RISP, Jenkins homers....if it wasn't for those awful errors earlier in the game this would have been close to a perfect game for us. This is they type of play I expected to see more from the Brewers. Hopefully it can continue, but nonetheless it feels good today! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  2. Did Prince miss the bag? I just caught the end of that replay.
  3. Ugh...Brewers with least amount of runs scored in MLB and second to last in batting average with risp. I guess Jenkins didn't get the memo about taking easy swings with men in scoring position.
  4. How in the world can major league baseball players not make an accurate 10-15 foot throw? Rickie's error was probably the worst I've ever seen. He had a half an hour to make a 10 foot throw and throws it wide?!
  5. Since when did it become known that if you get mad/frustrated at the team for playing like crap that you're not a fan??? I think the guys who are getting angry are the true fans.
  6. I'm a frustrated fan, like almost everyone else on here. But thanks for calling me out though.
  7. I hate to be a pessemist, but how are the Brewers going to blow this scoring opportunity? I'll say pop-up, ground out, strikeout for Clark, Hardy, Jenkins. Proove me wrong guys, proove me wrong!!!
  8. Let's just say that at this point in the season we're extremely lucky to have 6 wins considering the way we've been playing. This offense is pathetic right now and I'm not sure when it's gonna change. Other than Lee, no one can get a hit with a runner in scoring position.
  9. Story of the season so far. I said earlier in the week that its like the Brewers are trying to get to their "quota" of 10 hits without scoring a run. More than two hits in an inning? Yeah right.
  10. Alright! Runners on first and third, two out. Cue the weak grounder from Damian. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/embarassed.gif
  11. Ok, bases loaded, two out, Fielder up to bat. What's gonna happen: A. Strikeout B. Weak grounder to the right side. C. Pop-up D. Something else I vote B.
  12. You know what will be embarrassing? A 5-5 record after all the hype that came after win #5. I know we're a young team and the future is bright, but I've lost count so far this season as to how many times I thought I was watching Brewer teams of the past 5 years.
  13. Unfortunately I agree. Maybe I had my hopes up a little too high for Rickie and Prince, but I expected a little more especially from Rickie. I thought he was going to be more of a contact hitter (?). I just hope they catch on faster than JJ did last year.
  14. Runners at first and second, no one out. Why do I sense a double play coming up?
  15. Because there is never anything new on this board. It's the same threads at the top every day. Then someone tries to post about Ben Sheets' rehab start and it's immediately locked because we certainly don't want anyone talking about our ace's big comeback on the wrong board. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif
  16. All I'm trying to do is make my voice heard. If you don't agree with me, then so be it. I'm making this point after I took the time to write a post on what I thought was the worst part of yesterday's game. I show up today and it's locked. WHY? Because I mentioned the words "today's game" in it? Like I said, there is no clutter on this board because no one posts new threads. Case in point, the same threads have been at or near the top of the list for the past 3-4 days.
  17. FYI, there are 7 locked threads on the first three pages of this forum. Why? There are about 10 new threads a day on this forum (most likely because everyone is afraid of getting yelled at or having their thread locked/moved/deleted because they're not posting in the correct place), it's not like there's a lot of clutter.
  18. I already posted a topic on this a week ago, so sorry if I'm beating a dead horse, but why in the world do we have to cram every post regarding a specific game into ONE thread?!?! I can totally understand keeping the actual "in-game" talk in one thread. In other words, the discussion about the game while it's taking place. But I specifically wanted to start a thread about 6 hours after the game ended about what I thought was the "worst thing about the game" and see what others thought. I didn't want to post a message at the end of a 14 page thread where no one can see it. I wanted to stimulate some discussion on the main board...you know, the board where everyone goes to discuss the Brewers? I love Brewerfan.net. It beats the heck out of the "official" Brewers website message board or the JSonline message board, but the moderators on the forum are nuts. I swear the moderators enjoy moving and locking threads more than discussing baseball. It's not like this board was in disarray and now there is a big crackdown. What gives??? PS- You better read this fast because it might be on the "Complaints/Non-baseball" forum soon, or maybe the "Threads that start with the letter 'W' " forum. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  19. As long as the Brewers can shrug this game off and come out blazing in STL, we'll be ok. Let's hope today's game is not a sign of things to come because honestly other than the hot starts from a couple of players, our hitters are starting to come back down to earth. Clark, Jenkins, Rickie, Prince, Miller, Hall are all struggling at the plate right now. Oh, and by the way, Fernandez blows. He should only be used in mop up duty...so I guess that was one right move by Yost today.
  20. And to add insult to injury, Yost finally takes Cappy out and we get a double play. That sure would've looked nice with the bases loaded and none in. This was the first truly bad move of the year for Yost.
  21. Well at least we won't lose 1-0. Now watch the Brewers get 3 runs and lose 4-3. Ugh.
  22. Why is Cappy still in there?????????????? He clearly lost it after the error. Now Counsel singles. Game over. What a dumb move by Yost.
  23. Is anyone else having flashbacks to last year? Our pitcher is on fire and we're getting manhandled by an otherwise average opponent in Vargas. 1-0 losses suck! Come on offense, don't let it happen!
  24. This will be a painful loss if we can't come back...Cappy's got GREAT stuff today and so far we're letting it go to waste. Our guys are overdue to put up a crooked number.
  25. So let me get this straight, the Johan Santana thread they mentioned doesn't really exist??? Not sure why they would go out of their way to make that up.
