  1. Come on...two bunts would score two runs here.
  2. There is ZERO excuse to not score at least 1 run right here.
  3. I think it's safe to say that we can all agree this team is going nowhere with the current bullpen.
  4. Yeah, we scored 2 to tie the game but the Reds just took the upper hand since we have to go to the pen.
  5. I agree but the only option is putting Cirillo or Barnwell at short. Barnwell is no upgrade over a slumping Hall and Cirillo isn't exactly the best defensive SS (to put it nicely).
  6. We just really need to get back to playing against the NL. It's really a sad fact that the Brewers as a team aren't that good...it really comes down to the fact that the NL is bad as a whole and that's why we're able to stick around .500. But all that said, we could still be 4.5 out of the playoffs after today and regardless of how crappy the NL is we're still in the race.
  7. I have a feeling the bottom of the first inning is going to haunt us the rest of the game. If we can get second and third with no outs again, I'd like to see back to back squeezes! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  8. brewers225...grow up. It's an internet message board, I'm free to express my opinions on the team as is everyone else here. If you don't like what I have to say, don't read it and move on. If you want to continue your personal quest to call me out, send me a private message- don't do it on the IGT.
  9. Why aren't you getting on other people??? Look at the last few posts...there are a number of "negative" posts. So my posts over the last couple of days have been "negative." Well let's see, we've lost the last two games, last night's in heartbreaking fashion and I'm a little down on the club, so that makes me a Cubs fan??? Get real.
  10. Stop being so negative. I know you're just telling it like it is, but your going to offend a lot of people around here.
  11. So how are we going to find a way to not score in this situation?
  12. This is the most hopeless I've felt going into a game all year. Liriano, the Twins being on fire, Chad Moeller in the lineup today, we rarely play well on Sunday's, etc...I don't think we have a chance.
  13. 17 hits for the Twins?!?! Ouch. I guess in the picture, I hope tonight was just a bad night for Cappy and that he really isn't hurting and pitching through pain.
  14. I'm not gonna say the sky is falling, but with tomorrow's bad matchup followed by the Reds in town (and of course we catch their best pitchers) we're looking at being at least 4 games under .500 going into the last series with Chicago. And the way our pen is throwing, I don't know how we're gonna do. Hopefully once we get back to playing against the AAA, I mean National League, things will get easier for our guys.
  15. Since last Sunday, I think the pen has allowed at least 2 runs to score in every game except Monday. I feel like we're back to the beginning of the year. Remember how bad the pitching was in late May?
  16. I don't know what our record will be when we go to Cincy later in July but I do know we'll be 40-43 going back to Miller Park to play the Reds Monday.
  17. The same can be said for Jenkins, Miller, Clark. We're just not playing well right now. And in case we all didn't notice, we're not playing the Cubs this series....the Twins are pretty damn good.
  18. Our bullpen is AS BAD AS IT GETS right now.
  19. Turnbow is a below average pitcher when he can't locate his breaking ball. Everyone and their brother new he was going to throw a fastball on the game tying triple. I have no idea what D-bow's problem is that sometimes he can get the curve over for a strike and other times it's nowhere close.
  20. This game is a short time away from getting out of hand. I don't even want to know what the Twins are going to do to Cappellan, Kolb, and Wise.
  21. Geez, Cappy is struggling and we haven't even got to the pen yet. And I really don't have a lot of faith in the offense considering the only reason we have any runs is because of a Twins mistake.
  22. Cappy doesn't have it tonight. 40-43 here we come.
  23. These Twins are just something else. They are hitting well, making fabulous defensive plays, and even their "crappy" pitchers are throwing extremely well. It's the second inning, we're down 2-0 and I don't even know why I'm going to bother watching the rest of the game. The Twins can't do anything wrong.
  24. No one wants to start today's thread? If you want a preview of the game, well I guess you're gonna have to look it up yourself. Here's the bottom line...we really need to win tonight to avoid the possible sweep (I don't think we have a chance against Liriano) and with a tough series against Cincy coming up (games vs. Harang, Arroyo, and that young guy who shut us down in Cincy) we can't afford to go on a losing streak.
