So which Dave Bush are we gonna get today...the second coming of Cy Young or the evil twin of Glendon Rusch?
  2. badgerfan.tgf
That's classic. I wish I could hear that. FWIW, I hate it when he uses that call for opponents HR's. "Here's the pitch...and Jason Bay has just tied this game." Ugh.
  3. badgerfan.tgf
Just think, if we didn't blow the last game in Pittsburgh and the second game vs. the Nats we'd be .500 right now. Who says closers aren't important.
  4. badgerfan.tgf
If Turnbow walks the first guy he faces I'm gonna puke.

I have a bad feeling the Cubs are starting to turn things around. If we don't get back on track soon....well, I'm not even gonna finish that sentence. Please, please, please get this win tonight. I don't think I can stomach another blown save.
  6. badgerfan.tgf
Some might call that a blessing in disguise.

I'm just hoping they don't draft any high school pitchers. They never pan out for us. The fact that we're talking about the draft shows where this season is heading. Fans of winning ballclubs/franchises don't worry about the draft since no matter who you take, you won't see them in the big leauges for 3-4 years, if ever. They've got more important things to focus on, like going to the playoffs.

Boy these runs would've looked nice if JDLR hadn't walked the pitcher and if Weeks learned how to throw.

I wonder what the Nationals fans/announcers must be thinking right now. This is beyond embarassing play. I've seen more bad play over the last week from the Brewers than I've seen from most of the major leagues during the entire year.
  10. badgerfan.tgf
You know what would be nice? If the entire crowd at Miller Park just got up and walked out. I feel like mailing the rest of my season tickets back to Mark Attanasio. This is a AAA team right now.
  11. badgerfan.tgf
Oh yeah, it happens all the time. You know, just about every time Bonds or Pujols gets intentionally walked it usually leads to a big inning because the pitcher tends to forget how to pitch. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif

Not in this situation. Since Armas is pitching a heck of a game, we want to force the Nationals to either use a pinch hitter and remove Armas from the game or basically give up the out and end the threat by having the pitcher bat.
  13. badgerfan.tgf
So Ned should have taken him out instead of the intentional walk? Then when Winklesass comes in and gives up a hit, everyone is mad that Ned didn't leave him in when he was pitching so well. Fact is, hardly anyone on this board will blame the players before Ned. It's always Yost's fault.
  14. badgerfan.tgf
I think we'll take our chances with a guy hitting .045 and looking to just put the ball in play with a bunt.
  15. badgerfan.tgf
If Ned lets JDLR pitch to the #8 hitter and he singles in a run, this board is imploding since everyone would be wondering why he didn't walk him to get to the pitcher. You can blame Ned for a lot of things, but he did the right thing. Sometimes you've got to hold the players accountable.
  16. badgerfan.tgf
I can't believe you're defending a pitcher who can't throw three pitches for strikes. They didn't even have to be good pitches, just over the plate. I'll bet half the members of this board could throw three out of seven pitches over the plate.
  17. badgerfan.tgf
Some of you guys baffle me. It's Ned's fault that JDLR walks a pitcher hitting .045? I'm sorry, but if you can't throw three pitches for strikes you don't deserve to be in the major leagues. Especially when you know that the guy up to bat can't hit for crap. Those 4 runs are ALL on JDLR. You just can't walk a pitcher to get to Soriano. I swear it's like we're trying to lose. I can't believe we've gone 8 straight days, a full Sunday to Sunday stretch without winning a game. And who knows when it will end. We could be sitting here mid week talking about a 12 game losing skid. Milwaukee Brewers 2006 season: Time of death: June 4, 2:53 p.m.

Can we get a friggin' break one of these days???
  19. badgerfan.tgf
So Jenkins is coming out of the game (yeah!) and Ned puts Gross in his place?!?! Oh man, I can't take this anymore. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  20. badgerfan.tgf
This is honestly some of the worst baseball I've seen from the Brewers in years. It used to be we just had bad players that were overmatched by opponents but this team is flat out bad right now. Kansas City Royals on the road type bad. Can't hit, can't play defense, can't pitch, can't do ANYTHING.
  21. badgerfan.tgf
Remeber when there was a time not too long ago when we would get down by a run or two and there would be little doubt we'd come back? That HR by Soriano might be the game winner today.
  22. badgerfan.tgf
Anyone else feel like we're gonna have trouble putting up more than 2 runs today?
  23. badgerfan.tgf
Should I save myself the aggravation and not even watch? I'll say 8-3 Nats today.
  24. badgerfan.tgf
How about we hold Turnbow accountable for once? This guy can't get three straight outs for anything anymore. Even if he gets the save, he's always dangerously close to blowing it.
  25. badgerfan.tgf
Screw you Turnbow. I can't believe we just wasted the effort by Davis. Unreal how crappy this team is right now.
